Belief in the god of the bible is irrational - 2nd Debate

When I say "The Bible" I mean the literal interpretation of Christianity's holy book. I don't believe in any deities, I believe in the big bang and evolution. Belief in the god of the Bible is irrational because rational belief requires substantial evidence, and as such a thing doesn't exist belief in god is not rational. ======================================================================================== *Nothing said in the comments should affect the votes.* Rules: If quotes...

God doe not exist.

On a logical level. The reasoning by which god must exist is the same reason that allows me to claim unicorns exist. 1. It is tasked with you, (against) to show me that there are unicorns. Until you find a unicorn I won't believe you. They can exist beyond the realm of existence because they are magical. Therefore unicorns exist. 2. There are books that are really old which talk about unicorns existing. 3. There is no evidence to suggest unicorns don't exist. 4. Ahh I give up. Just debate...

There is no reason to believe in god(s)

God claims have existed for all of recorded human history, yet no evidence has ever been presented that supports a god's existence. The various philosophical arguments are all based on bad premises. The monotheistic religions are based on translations of copies of copies of lost ancient documents that were written by men, edited by men, translated and interpreted by men. There is no reason to accept a claim that any god exists....

The idea of the big bang isn't logical

Coffey
21MolonLabe

When you say the idea of the big bang isn't logical, that was not a fact. That was subjective, so using that as a valid point to declare that the big bang is false/God is real is not a factual argument. Another mistake, not all Atheists believe in the big bang. The point of the conservation is proving God's existence or validating he is true, so do that instead. Remember, just because we don't understand how something works/worked, doesn't automatically make it invalid....
