We should have a world government

Caden335

The World, War, and My Government Proposition There are 195 countries in the world. They vary in size, they vary in resources, and they are led by ambitious men who only care about power and land. War is about to break out all over the globe, with focuses in the North and Pacific regions of the world. Islands in the Pacific that have large amounts of natural resources are being fought over all the time, if not with guns, with words. Catalonia is seeking independence from Spain, and if they su...

Should guns be banned? (think Las Vegas Massacre)

Just because guns can be harmful doesn't mean that they should be taken away or that their usage should be reduced. If laws were created to ban guns, people would still find ways to maintain weapons, just like the black market does for drugs. Additionally, in 1918 a law passed that banned alcohol, but it didn't work. If you think that guns should be banned, what about cigarettes? We don't ban them because people need them and also we have the second amendment for guns. The shooter of the LA mass...

Caden335

Hello. My name is AppleAddict439, and i thank the challenger for accepting this debate. Let"s start in 1792, with the first U.S mint. Back then, pennies were made out 100% copper. There was no zinc in the actual penny. But, the market changed. The value of copper went up, and, due to inflation, the value of the penny went down. After that, the penny became almost completely zinc. Then, in 2006, the old pennies were found to have a value above 1 cent, so people began to melt them down to ma...

All Human Beings (Including You) Are Obsessed with God

Purushadasa
Caden335

Believers in atheist Dogma think about God all the time -- how strange! If they actually believed that God didn't exist, then they would never give him a second thought. The belief in atheist Dogma is not motivated by any valid argument or evidence -- it is motivated solely by an irrational hatred for God. In fact, God has made his factual existence known, with absolute certainty, to all human beings: All believers in atheist Dogma are constantly thinking about God, all agnostics are constantly...

Urban Living vs. Suburban Living

AppleAddict439
Caden335

Let me start off this off by saying that I am thankful for the challenger to have accepted this debate. Now, all accordance behind us, i will attempt to make my position. My first argument of why Urban living is better than Suburban Living is that the Suburbs (American Suburbs) have been designed in such a way that it removes a few of the basic human community principles: 1. Walking from one place to another on two legs. The majority of the time, you need a car to get around the suburbs. Y...
