People should be free to express their religious views in schools.

I'm not exactly sure how all this works on the website, as I've only ever participated in my school debates, but after reviewing other debates by other people, I have a better understanding of how these things go but if I do something wrong, please tell me and I will make sure that I rectify my mistakes. The terms of the resolution are pretty clear but my opponent may make any notes or clarifications in the first round. The debate will start with my opening arguments in R2. We will each have...

First off, I would like to thank my opponent in advance for accepting this debate. I would like to state that the bad psychological, ethical, sociological, etc. impacts of Jueteng in the Philippines outweighs its advantages. Elaborations will be discussed in future rounds....

Animal Testing (Joke Debate)

This debate is for fun no arguments should be taken too seriously to show my actual stance. I just thought it would be fun. Animal testing is a necessary evil, or is it? We need medications to be tested, animals are not the same as humans, but how can we find any other way to test? Science hasn't gotten to a point where we can use computer software yet, and we need to find cures. Someone has to die choose monkeys or humans? But how about we save the monkeys, and help with the standard of l...

Prostitution should be legalised in the US

I would like to thank Fredman in advance for thsi debate. I wish him the best of luck. I will be basing my argument off one from a previous debate of mine (http://www.debate.org/debate/12548/) . === PRO ARGUMENTS === ECONOMIC BENEFITS: If Prostitution was legalised, the government could regulate it and tax it. It would create more revenue for the government through this. Furthermore, it would add another legal market to the economy and lead for a bigger economy for the nation which lega...
Ireland should pay the cost to the UK taxpayer of the Pope's forthcoming visit to Britain.

The Pope's forthcoming visit to Britain is going to cost the country £14 million [1] and I firmly assert that the Irish government should pay. Here's why: The Irish aren't very adventurous with their food and they won't eat pasta, rice, noodles or any other "foreign muck" so when the potato harvests failed during the late 1840's, millions of Irish people were left with nothing to go with their succulent lamb chops, juicy pork steaks and rich beef and Guinness stews. Therefore, millions of...
Prostitution should be legalised

I will be basing this argument from this former debate of mine as an opening argument http://www.debate.org/debate/11641/ === PRO ARGUMENTS === ECONOMIC BENEFITS: If Prostitution was legalised, the government could regulate it and tax it. It would create more revenue for the government through this. Furthermore, it would add another legal market to the economy and lead for a bigger economy for the nation which legalises it. The legalisation of Prostitution has benefited many countri...
