About Me:Hi, I'm Josh. I'm generally a pretty quiet person, given to sarcasm and joking around. People in real life tend to find me pretty funny, in a rather dry sort of way, and quite nice and pleasant to be around, if, as noted, a bit quiet. I'm actually pretty shy, though this (and my pleasant, quiet demeanor) probably doesn't come across here. The internet changes you. ;) Honestly, unless you are putting forward an incredibly stupid, or god forbid a hypocritical/discriminatory/blatantly rude opinion, then I'm not actually meaning to come across as being rude myself, and I apologize if I do. If, however, you *are* doing one of those things, then I likely *am* being rude, and no apology is offered, unless I am mistaken and my actions are genuinely unwarranted, in which case again I apologize. I'm here mostly to get my opinions 'out there', as opposed to actively debating. The fact that this usually gets you into debates isn't really the point.
Activities:Reading, watching movies, just sort of hanging out with friends. Video games; TES series (Skyrim, Oblivion & Morrowind), Halo, Dragon Age, Fallout New Vegas, Mass Effect, Spore, Overlord, Fable, Amnesia, Dishonoured, Bioshock, Planescape: Torment, Dawn of War. Probably over a hundred other games that I either can't remember, or don't actually have but want to get.
Beliefs:'Religious': Secular Humanist, with some elements of Transhumanism. Political: Left-Libertarian/Libertarian Socialist. Ethical: Human rights and justice focused deontology, blended with some aspects of rule consequentialism.
Books:The Riftwar Saga (absolute favorite ever), Deltora Quest, Harry Potter, The Seventh Tower, The Keys to the Kingdom, The Death Gate Cycle, probably more that I can't remember.
Movies:Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Kick-Ass, Looper, Inception, Project X, 21 Jump Street, The Avengers, Iron Man, Django Unchained, Corpse Bride, Howl's Moving Castle, Superbad, The Hangover(1,2), Transformers, Tropic Thunder, Paul, Dodgeball, Couple's Retreat, Captain America, Due Date, The Great Gatsby, Limitless, Taken, Shutter Island, actually pretty much every Marvel Cinematic Universe film not already listed.
Music:Err... rock, (some) pop, (much) classical, a lot of movie/game soundtracks also often catch my attention for some reason. Specifically? Evanescence, Nirvana, Fuel, 30 Seconds to Mars, Angus & Julia Stone, Breaking Benjamin, Christina Perry, Green Day, Kelly Clarkson, Lana Del Rey (for some reason; them lyrics, though...), Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, Paramore, Sarah Blasko, Sum 41, System of a Down, Three Days Grace. The soundtracks to: Halo, Neon Genesis Evangelion, The Great Gatsby, Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne, Persona 3, Looper, Nier, Corpse Bride, Nier. I think that's probably close to everything. Maybe.

"I fight for freedom, mine and everyone's. I fight for the right to choose our own fate. And if I die, I'll die knowing that I did everything I could to stop you. And I'll die free."
--Commander Shepard

"Can't repeat the past? Why, of course you can... of course you can."

Men are better than women.

Dontbothertrying
Jingram994

I want to stress that this is a purely scientific discourse that will address the apparent differences in the male and female sex of the species Homo sapiens sapiens. This is not a sexist discussion. We are all human beings thus all equal. However for numerous biological and evolutionary concerns, the male gender is better suited to ensuring the survivability and technological advancement of the human race. We are still creatures of nature. We are not necessarily buillt to be able to...
