Sources have no place in a Philosophical Debate other than to define terms and give counterexamples.

Clarification of Resolution: "or" is meant in the mathematical sense, meaning that sources are reasonable to use in philosophical debate when either they are used to define terms or used to provide counterexamples, or both.
Any honest debater is justified in being concerned about plagiarism. &nbs...
Two can be one

Can you actually prove to me that two can't be one? Waiting for you to accept the challenge. I believe that two can become one with so many proves...........
Compatabilism is a flawed philosophical doctrine.

I originally sent this challenge to Reasoning; however, like most people on this site, he declined my direct challenge. I don't see why considering not only is he a vehement Compatibilist, but so are some of the most brilliant philosophers in the world today. There is plenty of pro-Compatibilist information for my future opponent to steal from the internet, I can assure you. In fact it is the most popular position, so I will...

Alright, to start off the debate I will first explain the reason behind it. Me and one of my best friends been debating whether A: The milk goes first into the bowl, then the cereal follows, B: The cereal goes into the bowl first, hence the Milk is put in the bowl second. I will be supporting point "B", that the cereal comes first. My opponent will have to support point "A" that the milk goes first into the bowl. This is my first debate so don't blame me if the setup is a bit weird lol....

Metaethical Moral Relativism

Even if it were established that there are deep and widespread moral disagreements that cannot be rationally resolved, and that these disagreements are more significant than whatever agreements there may be, it would not immediately follow that MMR is correct. Other nonobjectivist conclusions might be drawn. In particular, opponents of objectivism might argue for moral skepticism, that we cannot know moral truths, or for a view that moral judgments lack truth-value (understood to imply a rejecti...
