Passing a kidney stone is more painful than giving birth.
For those few that have passed a kidney stone, we frequently hear statements that compare the pain to giving birth, such as "I have heard that is more painful than giving birth." Surprisingly, I have heard these statements from nurses and doctors, not just friends and family. I contend that the pain is as great if not more severe for passing a kidney stone vs. giving birth.
