God exists. You can't escape it. (TAG debate)

Rednerrus

I would like to thank my opponent for accepting this debate. And I pray that the Holy Spirit will give me, my opponent, and everyone else who will read this, "eyes to see, ears to hear and hearts to perceive."This debate is about the existence of God and I (Pro) will be arguing that God is the necessary precondition for intelligibility. That is, without God we can not make sense of our experience, indeed we can not make sense of anything at all. This would mean that knowledge ca...

animal testing

paigeteevee

Millions of animals are tortured everyday because of cosmetic companies. Their legs and other bones are broken to test painkillers.. etc... it should be illegal for cosmetic companies to test on animals. Alot of great companies don't test on animals, so it shows you there is another way. Please help stop animal testing....

Money "does" buy happiness.

"Psychologists have spent decades studying the relation between wealth and happiness," writes Harvard University psychologist Daniel Gilbert in his best-selling "Stumbling on Happiness," "and they have generally concluded that wealth increases human happiness when it lifts people out of poverty and into the middle class or upper class. M...

Every human action is motivated by self interest

nunquam.redono

Every single thing we do seeks our own well-being , or what we see as our own well-being . We give money to a beggar for our very own interest , we go to war and die for our country for our own interest(I will explain those 2 later on) , there is not a single action we do that has another goal then our own well-being . "our own interest" or "well-being" can be divided into 3 categories : -the REAL interest/well-being ( we go to school so we can have a better life later on , we are aware o...

Shakespeare's works should be abridged and enhanced to make them more enjoyable

brian_eggleston

Shakespeare may have written some quite good plays, but few would disagree that most of them are far too long and boring. That’s why they should be edited and spiced up a bit at the same time. Here is an example of what I have in mind: Romeo &...

The (U.S.) Constitutionality of Legalized Abortions on Demand

Chuz-Life

NOTE: You must be over the age of 27 to accept my challenge for this debate! Having read some of the previous debates on the abortion issues (found in archives of this site), I am somewhat reluctant to issue the following challenge. However, it is my opinion that the issue of 'human rights' is an issue that actually WARRANTS repeated examinations, the searches for and the proving of facts, and even the seemingly endless debates that will likely go on long after this exchange has ended....
