| Books: | Lord of the Rings, (I'm named after Samwise Gamgee) Harry Potter, anything by Charles Dickens, but to sum up my tastes in a word: bleak. The Road by Cormac McCarthy is perhaps my all-time favourite. Goethe's Faust, if it counts. As a dramatist? Hmm, Shakespeare, Wilde, Martin MacDonnagh, maybe. Oh, and I like Keats. A lot. Gary Shteyngart's "Super Sad True Love Story" is what I'm currently on, absolutely excellent. |
| Movies: | The Road, actually, they did quite a good job on it! Lord of The Rings was also tremendously brilliant. I tend to like adaptations but there's always the stock classics like Citizen Kane or The Godfather. You know, stuff that everyone likes. I would probably name David Fincher as a favourite director, though. Fight Club! |
