Marijuana should be legalized for recreational use
I believe Marijuana should be legalized in the United States for recreational use in every state and providence. Marijuana poses no serious threat to human health. In the 8000 year history of cannabis, there has not been one recorded death. Studies show you would have to smoke 15 lbs of Marijuana in a 30 minute period to die, which would be impossible because you would pass out before that could happen. You may have the argument that it is addictive, well yes it could be mentally addictive....

Religion is not the best strategy to achieve worthwhile human goals
My argument starts by saying that most of us, even if unaware, define our goal in life to maximize our own well being. Note that when striving to maximize our well being, our conscience is also a factor, thus harming others is usually a bad strategy.
