Pro Let a = b. Then a^2 = ab. Subtract b^2 from both sides. Then a^2-b^2=ab-b^2. Use difference of squares. (a+b)(a-b)=b(a-b) Divide both sides by (a-b). Then a+b=b. Now let a=1, then b=1. Substitute a=1 and b=1 into a+b=b. Thus 2=1.Report this Argument Con do (a-b) then you get the answer! It's not 2=1 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH MUHAHAHA MUHA MUHA MUHAAAAAAAAReport this Argument

However, con didn't bring that up, he just said something nonsensical and laughed. This is why he loses. Don't vote for him because he's right, vote for pro because he actually made a case. Con didn't make a concise point at all, yet it's a tie. This is ridiculous.

This formula does not work BECAUSE 'a' and 'b' are equal. Because the very last step - "Divide both sides by (a-b)" - will come out undefined when 'a' and 'b' are equal, because 'a' minus 'b' is zero. When you devide by zero, the answer is undefined.

I think the amount of laughing proves that he must have made his point effectively...

Con could easily have won, but he's a nub.
