Dude 4 is the fourth number on the number line. That is a fact. It is also the first number in the LOST numbers, not only is it a number but it's awesome! I rest my case... I WIN IT IS A NUMBER! Why did you even take this debate?
Andromeda_Z

Con

A numeral is word, letter, symbol, or figure, etc., expressing a number [1]. Numerals are also symbols. Symbols, while not the concepts themselves, are used to represent them. [2] 4 is a symbol used to represent the concept of "less than than five and more than three" much as a heart is used to represent the concept of love. While "4" is essential to our understanding of numbers, it is not a number itself. It is a numeral and a symbol.

I thought he would try to work some sort of definition in there somewhere, maybe try to show what a number is and why 4 is a number.

Dude, you just lost an argument when all you had to do was show that the number 4, was in fact a number.

Reasons for voting decision: Pro's meaning was arguably clear from the context, but since it was such a dumb resolution, it was fair to hold it up to extra scrutiny.

Reasons for voting decision: Pro was hoping for automatic win, but around here you have to prove that 4 is a number! 1 point to Pro as he is new and zero point overall don't feel good.

Reasons for voting decision: pro's arguments were basically restating the topic (convincing arg's to con)... con had sources, pro did not (sources to con)
