Illegal Immigration

FrontLineConservative
policydebategod

I'm ready for another debate against someone that views illegal immigration as a "positive" thing for America. Let me state this clearly, I am pro-immigration but anti-illegal immigration. I'm a born and raised Texan and I can debate this topic all day long. I've been around illegals all my life and I know the economic impact that comes with illegal immigrants....

Most pople in developing countries wants to immigrate to the US or Europe for searching good life. They do anything to stay there or try take citizenship. Whether illegal immigration is good or bad. Some people say that illegal immigration is a crime, because they cant find good employment and trying to find easy money. However, illegal immigration has more advantages than disadvantages. Illegal immigration benefits the US economy through additional tax revenue, expansion of the low-cost labor...

Harlan

Hello, I am sorry that I was too busy to reply previously. Please allow this debate to continue, by accepting my challenge to start it again from where we left off. To the spectators, this is the continuation of a debate that was forfeited due to lack of time. Please vote based on that debate also. For reference it is here: http://www.debate.org/debates/Illegal-Immigration-Should-we-deport-all-illegal-immigrants-we-find-in-the-US/1/ When I said that they "benefit society more than the...

The U.S. needs to clamp down on illegal immigration

PervRat
Flare_Corran

The subject of this post is: The U.S. needs to clamp down on illegal immigration. I, the instigator, am taking the con side of this discussion. That is, I will be arguing against the notion that "The U.S. needs to clamp down on illegal immigration." This debate is open to any challenger to accept the "Pro" side of the debate, upon whose shoulders rests the burden of proof to establish that the U.S. needs to clamp down on illegal...

Illegal immigration is endangering and destroying American safety, finances, education, and culture.

Capt.Herp
maxh

The invasion of the United States by illegal aliens, primarily over our southern borders, imperils the country's financial, educational, and medical institutions, our environmental quality, and in fact, the very culture of the United States. For years, the willful misinterpretation of the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which was originally written so that children of slaves freed after the Civil War would be considered citizens but now taken to mean that anyone who runs into the US...

America needs to crack down on illegal immigration.

revleader5

Here are the negatives of illegal immigration. I would like my opponent to say the positives. -Costs taxpayers millions in healthcare each year. When an injured illegal immigrant comes in and receives medical care, it is on the taxpayer dollars. -Costs California an increased tax to have translators for hospitals because of the large amount of spanish-only speaking people who called. -Takes jobs away from hardworking americans. I'll name more in my next arguement....

Immigration Should Be Illegal in the United States

Horse89
I-am-a-panda

Immigration can cause international problems. In this process, countries get upset with the decreasing of their population. Also, the United States can not support the people, especially with the economy so bad they just can not seem to get a job. Then, they are homeless and starve. They cause more robberies and people to get mugged for survival. Immigration can again cause international problems, which can lead to terrorists attacks, such as September 9, 2001. This is a problem leading to the e...

The U.S. should build a fence on its southern border in order to reduce illegal immigration.

christiandebater

I think a border fence would be excellent in keeping illegals out of the U.S. There are already several cities in the U.S. where fences are put up (San Diego, Nogales, El Paso.) All have reduced illegal immigration. The problem is we don't have enough Border Patrol and a fence on the southern border would help immensely. Here are my reasons: 1. The fence will be hard to penetrate. This is a main controversy of the...anti-border fence people. What good is 6-foot high chicken wire? Well first,...

The solution to illegal immigration requires enforcement of our current laws

The_Silent_Consensus
Daxitarian

Some argue that the status quo is de facto amnesty because it is extremely impractical to round up at least 12 million illegal immigrants and deport them. Those who say that are right as far as their reason, but off in saying that the status quo is de facto amnesty. Here's what we could do to solve the problem, and it would require nothing more than modest enforcement of our current laws: 1. Finish the fence across the whole border 2. Beef up manpower security at the border 3. Deport those...
