Space exploration is, indeed, a waste of both time and money.

Having recently engaged in my first debate on this site and, to be frank, going for an easy win, I felt it would only be appropriate to open a debate to the floor. I couldn't think of a good debate topic, so I simply reversed roles from my last debate. I wish good luck to my opponent, and hope for an engaging debate. -- Definitions -- Space: 'The expanse in which the solar system, stars, and galaxies exist; the universe. The region of this expanse beyond earth's atmosphere'- http://www.th...

To be Explained

My topic, (to be explained) is that whether someone says the glass is "half full" or "half empty" is not related to an entire mindset, although it may be related to parts of the mindset. What I mean by that exactly is that when someone says the glass is "half empty" or "half full", its does not necessarily mean that they are a negative or a positive person. Keep in mind that I am talking about the figure of speech, so don't try to find a rebuttal in the topic itself. If I put the words half full...

Thanks in advance to my opponent for accepting the debate. This is something I've been thinking about for a while now. I believe this is a possibility due to the finite velocity of light. I have taken the liberty of drawing my scenario to give my opponent a better idea of what I'm talking about here: http://img365.imageshack.us/img365/2735/asdfh.png To the right of the picture is Earth now, Earth at this present moment. The Earth goes on its journey at a velocity of about 30km/s, and d...

We shouldn't have fun at the expense of people with Tourettes Syndrome

First of all, viewer discretion is advised on the first embedded YouTube clip as it contains very strong language from the outset. I wasn't aware of this the first time I played it when, as it happens, I was in a rather upmarket bistro. Forgetting my laptop volume control was set to full, I pressed 'play' to view the video and, to my horror, the audio blared right round the room and everybody turned round and stared at me in absolute shock and disgust. Meanwhile, I desperately tried to find the...

Bigfoot can't and doesn't exist due to the lack of evidence and no fossil records supporting it.

I know that I'm the underdog of the debate when my position is CON. However, I will attempt to attack this topic since I want to see how well I can fight this debate. This debate doesn't have to be Lincoln-Douglas debate, but I would rather have it a formal debate than a informal debate. But if you want to response in an informal way, then I'm okay with that. I think Bigfoot, also known as Sasquatch can exist because Bigfoot has had a demonstrable impact as a cultural phenomenon and has bec...
