RepublicanView333
Daxitarian

I believe John McCain is the best canidiate for both the democrats and republicans. i also think the democrats biggest fear is a republican taking office and the Republicans (and i can back this up because RepublicanView is a republican and its my biggest fear) biggest fear is a Democrat taking office. For both sides i believe John McCain is the best Canidiate for the job as president. I'll say it now, please anyone on the Republican side dont debate and say he's not conservative enough...

The Huckabee-McCain Alliance

wingnut2280
clsmooth

Mike Huckabee and John McCain are in political cahoots. Thats right, cahoots. Huckabee has stayed in the race in order to ensure a McCain nomination. While other candidates have dropped out in better circumstances, Huckabee stays in to split the base and draw votes from Romney. This has allowed McCain the victory on super tuesday and to become the heir-apparent to the nomination. McCain and Huckabee each have a personal despise for Romney and have worked togehter to ensure he doesn't get n...

The Conservative base of the Republican Party should support John McCain for President.

WannabeMusketeer
sadolite

Now that Senator John McCain has basically secured his nomination as the Republican Party's nominee for the 2008 Presidential election, he has a lot of work a head of him. He has to unify not only the country behind him, but his own party! I'm a very conservative Republican; the epitome of the Party's base. I refuse to cast a vote for John McCain. Except mildly on terror, he doesn't reflect the Party's views. He is constantly compromising his "conservative" views and values in Congress and the l...

McCain is not a conservative

wingnut2280

John McCain is not a conservative and should barely be considered a republican. I'm so sick of him crying out for my support just because he has an R after his name. McCain is continually and extremely liberal on all of the major issues that conservatives care about with the exception of life. On amnesty, McCain-Kennedy took one of the most liberal positions possible on the issue, allowing over 20 million illegal immigrants safe passage to easy citizenship. On tax cuts, McCain is the only...

Solarman's Neo-con Republican picks (Romney McCain Bush) hurt our country through supporting the war

Rob1Billion
Solarman1969

I have been waiting to debate the great solarman for a long time and I have decided to make my move. Solarman supports the neo-conservatives, which are nothing more than confused republicans that are anything BUT conservative. They are not conservative on social policy. Conservatism would logically mean to keep the government OUT of people's lives. Bush, the Huckster, Romney, and McCain are not socially conservative. They support the War on Drugs, which is a billion dollar a week waste of capita...

Resolved: McCain will not be president, even if Hillary is the democratic nominee.

blond_guy

I'm glad that I can say this with conviction. McCain will not be president. He's like Bush all over again. Except that "I'm moderate" story isn't going to work for McCain. Conservatives AND Liberals don't like him. Even Ann Coulter said she'd vote for Hillary or Obama over McCain. Not to mention the president's 30% apporval rating and the so unpopular war in Iraq which McCain wants to keep for as long as it takes (and I quote, "maybe 100 years"). Resolved: McCain won't be the next president o...

Senator Mccain does not qualify to be president

claypigeon
Pride_of_Scotland

I am reposting this debate as I find it interesting and the last person bailed. As much of an open Obama supporter that I am, I also vehemently support Senator Mccain. In an election between any other democrat in the field and Mccain, I would probably vote for Mccain. I say this not to pander but to show my bias. As much as I like Senator Mccain, I do not believe he qualifies to be president, legally. My argument has only one main part and I would be happy if someone can convince me that...

Who should McCain's Vice Presidential candidate be?

I think Sarah Palin should be McCain's running mate. She has a fairly conservative voting record. Also, she has some of the highest approval rates as she is the current sitting governor of Alaska....

John McCain is the next George W. Bush.

revleader5
DanTheLawyer

This is 4 rounds so that both sides have a chance to give an opening statement before debating. John McCain and George W. Bush... What can I say? Both in love with the Iraq War? Check. Both infringe our freedoms? Check. Both treated better because of their fathers? Check. (McCain wasn't killed off as a P.O.W. because his captors knew his father was a high-ranking officer) Both will be/are complained about but still voted for? Check. Both have/will run the country on fear? Check. I wil...
