In order to be a just society, should animals have rights? I will argue Affirmative, but I am a novice debater, so I'd prefer someone who isn't going to annihilate me, I'd rather learn from this debate....

My opponent will argue that Animals do not have rights. Here are my examples why they do have rights. First- Animals have "similar" rights as we do they may not be able to vote or do certain things that we humans can but here is some rights, they have the right to breath, they have right to live, the right to not be killed, and the right to not be held in captivity. Second- They have the right to do as they please, meaning they can think and do whatever action they choose....

How come we allow these creatures to be tortured and killed? People might think it is a necessary evil to improve the survival of the human race. They might be right too but researches have figured out that animals are a lot more like us. The animals have feel...

This is the Animal Rights debate. It lasts 3 hours per round, with 3 rounds. Each argument can have a maximum of 10,000 characters. The topic is animal rights, which I strongly support. Animal rights is hereby defined as: the idea that all non-human sentient animals are entitled to the possession of their own lives, and deserve proper welfare.
