Gay marriage should not be legalized, for many reasons. One, it is immoral and is banned in most major religions. Second, it is unnatural. A family must consist of one man and one woman to carry out their respective motherly and fatherly roles. My position is that marriage between partners of the same gender has no significant negative effects on society and therefor should be legal. My opponent has the burden of proof to show that there are negative effects (or can reasonably argue that there will be) and should go ahead and make their opening arguments....
