Gay Marriage Should Be Legalized.

TheSkeptic
InquireTruth

ON GUARD! I affirm the resolution: Gary Marriage should be legalized. For the sake of clarity and being terse, the term "gay" will be an umbrella term for the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) community. I am not arguing in what way gay marriage should be legalized (federal or states), but I'm arguing that it SHOULD be legalized because there is no valid legal argument against gay marriage. Do note that since this is in context of being legalized, saying that God is against ga...

Gay Marriage Should Be Legalized.

Gay Marriage should be a legal form of marriage for the simple fact that disallowing LGBT groups to marrying is taking a right that should be theirs. I'll let you go first, as I am contending that there are no substantial legal reasons to disallow same-sex marriage, and thus it should be a right for any LGBT couple to marry....

love is love. it doesn't matter your sexual orientation, color, ethnicity, or where you come from. love is a rare and unexplainable thing that two people share. just because it isn't 'politically correct' or 'god' says it's a sin, doesn't mean it's not there....

Gay Marriage

As far as controvercial topics go, Gay marriage is one of the biggest ones, but it doesnt have to be. Why is gay marriage such a controvercial topic? Closed minded self-richeous people who are too stuck in their ways, they are the reason its such a controvercial topic. I'm not saying that everyone has to think that being a homosexual is right, or that everyone should be, but for goodness sake, why stop two people from having the right to marry eachother? "You cant get married because youre gay"....

Gay Marriage Should Be Legal in the United States

JustCallMeTarzan
InquireTruth

This debate was issued to InquireTruth... twice. He let it expire both times. Now I open it up to the public to defend his position because he apparently will not do so. *************************************************** The proposition on offer is that Gay Marriage should be legal in the United States. For the purposes of debate, "Gay Marriage" will be held to mean marriage between two individuals of the same sex. This definition arises from two segments of relevant law common to most...

Gay Marriage should be 100% legal

We hold these truths to be self evident, THAT ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL, that they are endowed by their creator with CERTAIN UNALIENABLE RIGHTS, that among these are life, LIBERTY, and THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS." Yes, you will complain that that is the declaration of independence, not the constitution. Here's some news for you. The country was founded on the declaration of independence, and the constitution didn't come for some years later. Actually we were more like the EU for the first few y...

Allow gay marriage

Logos

The question of gay marriage is fairly simple one, given that there are no real arguments to not allow it. What makes one marriage less valid than another? More to the point, what makes the government qualified to say whose marriage is valid and whose marriage isn't? And by what standards does one determine which marriage is valid and which one isn't? Is there a litmus test for how much people love each other? (Love is clearly not the issue, as people of opposite genders can get married for mone...

Gay marriage should be legal in the United States.

I will be using a dual overlaying teleological/constitutional argument to contend that gay marriage should be legalized in the United States. In this project I will borrow the harm principle, as articulated by John Stewart Mill, to argue that the only reasonable circumstance in which a government can limit a citizen's liberty is to prevent that person from causing harm to others. This view when taken to its logical conclusion would entail the legalization of gay marriage. Contention 1:...

Why shouldn't gay marriage be legal

mariahsaywhaaa

Gay marriage should be legal, since when does anyone get off by being able to tell someone else how to live there life. If we claim we have equal rights then we should practice what we preach and allow same sex marriage. How would allowing two people weather they be the same sex or not get married affect the whole world? In reality it should only affect that couple, and everyone else should mind there own business....
