LR4N6FTW4EVA
Bnesiba

I will provide a list of topics, choose one, you're CON, I'm PRO. Then in R2 I go and post. Note, I am playing Devil's advocate in some places. 1. Most nonhuman Animal's do not deserve rights. 2. Utilitarianism is superior to Kantianism. 3. Sarah Palin is not as incompetent as she is made out to be. 4. Cannibalism of dead people should be socially acceptable, if not encouraged. 5. Agriculture was a mistake. 6. Anarchy could feasibly work. 7. Functionalism is a flawed theory of mind. 8....

What is with the fairness act Obama tried passing in 2005?

lalasavannah3218

So, I heard of this plan he's tried to pass, where radio stations all the public things like that would have to be liberal. I'm not a "republican" and i'm definately not a "democrat" i'm undecided i'm just wondering if you disagree or think this is a little too dramatic that he's trying to do a socialist action by controlling radio stations etc. Thankyou....

If you commit suicide will you go to Heaven or Hell

Whenever the teachings of a religion is so wrong, that disobedience to its teachings is in fact doing what was right, like saving life, for example, then we may know that God did not set up that religion, but that it is the product of sinful man. In the Bible we are told about God: "Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity…" Hab. 1:13. This shows us that YHWH the one and only true God is so holy that He had nothing to do with corruption, but not so, with the Hin...

Negative- I stand in negation, "Resolved: In a democratic society, felons ought to retain the right to vote." I offer the following definitions for clarification of the resolution:   Democracy- the political orientation of those who favor government by the people or by their elected representatives. (If argued in CX, state that felons do not favor the government because they cannot abide by the rules that the government has set forth.)   Felon- Someone who commits a felony; A Felony is a l...

If Satan exists then we as a people should not follow the teachings of the bible.

Yraelz

My position is really simple. If Satan exists ,as a dark contrast to god, who occasionally leads people astray then we as people should not follow the teachings of the bible. If god would allow Satan to exist then no one should follow the teachings of the bible. Any takers? =)...

Parents should not buy war toys for children.

stephenyoo1995
Darryn_Stylees

Hi, I'm Stephen Yoo and this is my first speech on the proposition side, on the motion that parents should not buy war toys for children. I'd like to start by explaining exactly what a war toy is. From the Swedish Toy Council, "War toys are playthings which are used to solve conflicts, gain power, or win through the use of violence and imagination. Their aim is to destroy and kill." Next, I'd like to go on to my contentions. Contention 1 Toys are for fun, and not for violence. At an ear...

Bush Lied People Died? Part II

Watchman81
Seerss

Okay, so I tried this debate once, but didn't get a good opponent. Hopefully this one will work better. Here is my opening argument. In this debate, I am arguing that President Bush did NOT lie in order to justify the United State's invasion of Iraq. Whether or not the United State's invasion of Iraq was justifiable or not is irrelevant to this debate. I am arguing against the popular belief that Bush used deception in order to justify the US' invasion of Iraq. The reason we went to war wa...

In this round I will be debating affirmative for the following resolution: "Resolved: Vigilantism is justified when the government has failed to enforce the law." Vigilantism is Justified when govermnment has failed to enforce the law

TheCategorical
Metz

Affirmation V: Societal welfare VC: Will to Power of societal order Thesis: The will to power is an individual's struggle against their surroundings that culminates in personal growth, and the ability to assert power. Vigilantism is justified through this struggle against the crime that has been committed. In Will to Power Nietzsche writes: "My idea is that every specific body strives to become master over all space and to extend its force (its will to power) and to thrust back all that resi...
