scientifically inexplicable, apparently supernatural things occur, but not to atheists. these are apparent miracles. please show something that happened to an atheist, that would have been called an apparent miracle had it happened to a religous person, because of its scientifically inexplicable nature. no semantics pleas what are thought of as miraculous events are heavily documented and readily available. there are tons of examples for theists, in previous debates i shown them. most c...

God is Illogical

Cloud
Anti-atheist

The first round will be one of acceptance, and an opportunity for me to give the following definitions: God - We shall concern ourselves with the Christian God[1], as depicted in the Bible and worshipped by billions worldwide. 'Illogical' - an impossibility by the laws of logic, the reasoning system that establishes truth In the next round I will begin my case. Please simply accept and wait for my opening argument in Round 2. Thank you. [1] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/God_in_Christ...

the catholic church has never contradicted itself

in this debate, i am not counting the issues of limbo, or "no salvation outside the catholic church". you would think if the catholic church were not true, that it would have contradicted itself at some point in two thousand years. the only things that count are statements that are authoritative, things that could be considerted "infallible". the pope, intentionally, teaches, the church, on faith and morals. that is the criteria. it includes many councils and other statements by popes....

No one is justified in keeping for his exclusive use what he does not need, when others lack necessities" You are not making a gift of your possessions to the poor person. You are handing over to him what is his. For what has been given in common for the use of all, you have arrogated to yourself. The world is given to all, and not only to the rich." Are There Good Arguments to Support Atheism?

StephenWicker
Magic8000

Typically, there can be 2 meanings of the word “atheism”. One meaning is simply an absence of belief in a God/Gods. When an atheist of this sort debates a theist, it is usually over a topic such as “Does God Exist”, and because the affirmative position has the burden of proof, the atheist can simply sit and wait on the theist’s arguments and then attempt to refute them. The second com...
