Open Campus Lunch

JAD13
Mia13

Students should be allowed to leave school for lunch. They should be able to leave school grounds because it gives students a sense of trust and responsibility. For example if a kid were buying lunch at a sandwich shop and had the choice between a bag of Cheetos or a vege sandwich. In this moment he is making a choice if he chooses the healthier option it proves that he is making a responsible choice for his body....

Should smartphones be banned in schools?

xlxzxbxth.x
aT78

My school has a no smartphone policy, and I am strongly against it. I am a 6th grade (or Year 7) living in London and think the case is totally unnecessary. The only mobile phones we can bring to school are Nokia bricks, which cannot have a camera or access to the internet. I think this is plain stupid. My school is a local school, (not in the middle of the city) and we surely do not have that many thieves. So why? They do not distract your learning, my school is strict enough. Phone (Nokia bri...

High Schools should not require high-level math courses

Grandzam
HSamei1999

I will contend that high schools should not require students to take high-level math classes to graduate. High-level math classes are defined as classes that are Geometry, Algebra II, and beyond. Algebra I and below are not high-level math classes for the purposes of this debate....

Like: "F**k you" Means, "Curse You" And another one for the "F-word" Is, basically which I don't want to say.... But, so and so. And the "A-word" Just means butt. Little kids, such as: 5+ Say butt, So aren't they saying, a curse word, but in another way? I'm not saying you HAVE to let them curse. I'm saying maybe...

Should Memes be an official College Course?

dank_meme
hcd1997

There are many places of which memes are shared, mainly the Internet. If there were such a thing as to take a college course on memes, people who have a limited understanding on the topic can better comprehend the attitude of kids who consider memes a part of their life. Places such as /r/me_irl are chock-full of memes, and a lot of people whom I showed memes to did not understand their context. Maybe a college course on memes can help them understand the Great Fish Meme War of 2015-2016, or eve...

Basic Life Knowledge Should Be Taught In School (Taxes, Rent, Loans, etc...)

halfsour
Legend6321

Basic life skills should be taught in middle and high school to give young adults a head start on the real world and a better understanding of whats going on in the world around them from a younger age and not have to figure out alone what to do when you don't have your parents paying for your phone bill anymore, or if you get a flat tire when you're alone....
