student ought not be required to take standerdized exit exams to graduate

"It is important to note that the Texas accountability system is widely concerned by researchers represented a broad range of research and political originations to be one of the most effective examples of a system of equality-focused school reform." Because I agree with Prof. Philip Treisman (UT @ Austin) I negate the resolution; Resolved: Public high school students in the U.S. ought not to be required to pass standardized exams to graduate. To clarify the round, I offer the following key...
Gallaudet University for the deaf is not beneficial to the deaf.

I would like this debate to be a fast one. By this, I mean I'd prefer it if my opponent stayed online to complete the debate. Gallaudet University - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gallaudet_University Beneficial - 1 : conferring benefits : conducive to personal or social well-being [1] Deaf - lacking or deficient in the sense of hearing I believe that Gallaudet University for the deaf is not beneficial to the deaf. Due to the fact Gallaudet specifically accommodates the deaf to the fu...
School vouchers are unconstitutional because they go against the separation of church and state.

Some people have claimed that because school vouchers can end up with government funding a child to go to a religious school, it is unconstitutional. I think that this argument is false. Note that I am opposed to school vouchers, but I use arguments other than the one above. I want someone who is against school vouchers for reasons including the one above to accept this debate and defend the point, and a debate will then follow. Thank you to whoever accepts this debate. Good luck....
Ten (10) + Four (4) = Two (2)

10 + 4 = 2 Is correct in non euclidean geometry. Prove me wrong :P...
Random drug testing should not be used in public schools.

Resolution Clarification: I'm talking about random drug testing only of students who participate in extracurricular activities. (i.e. You have to pass random drug tests to play basketball, etc.). Conditions/"Be Nice To Me's": This is a three-round debate. You may introduce new arguments in the first and second round, but I ask that my opponent refrain from doing so in the third round, as i will not be able to respond. In the third round i ask that my opponent only present rebuttals, etc to a...
Marxist teachings should be more focused on in high school curriculumns.

Recently, within the year, I was introduced to the Communist Manifesto by my English teacher. From reading the Manifesto, examining the core beliefs and speaking to a professor of philosophy who has given Marxist seminars, I have concluded that if more people were to be open-minded about the idea of communism (in it's true form) that education could be improved with teaching styles like those of Paulo Freire (Pedagogy of the Oppressed). First one must look at the belief system in it's simplest f...
It is ok for men to marry multiple women. Women should only have 1 husband.

We are all animals. Throughout the animal kingdom, more often than not, we find males competing against one another for a group of females. The victor of this struggle takes all the females in the pride, school, ....etc. If we are all part of the same animal kingdom then, it would seem ok if Men married as many women as they are able to win in through battles of testosterone. What say you?...
Euro-centric distortions on African Antiquity and it's importance/relvance in today's world

My argument is simple but sensitive. Please back all claims. The global view of Africa is a sad one. What Africans in Africa and those displaced globally, have given the world has been placed in a washing Machine filled with Bleach. It has been accepted that the Birth place for all of Wo/Mankind is located in the heart of Africa. So how is Philosophy accredited to the Greeks? The first literary composition EVER written was The Maxims of Ptah Hotep (A black African), which was a book of philo...
school vouchers.

school vouchers are essentially tax write offs for families who choose to send their children to non-government, or privately funded and parochial schools. the reason for this tax break according to supporters is that families should not have to pay taxes to help schools that their children do not attend. i stand in firm negation, and will expand on the four main arguments in opposition of these vouchers. 1. since most of the schools in the program are religious, government funding violates...
