People should be banned for forfeiting debates on debate.org

This debate was not some random idea that I came up with and decided to post. It was from personal experience on debate.org I have only been in about 5 debates and only 2 have been fully completed, the others have been forfeited. I know a lot of newer sites are started with word of mouth and this site is still fairly new. I'm not saying that's the only method to gain popularity but it does play a huge role. I loved the setup of this website and the atmosphere. It was very intuitive and very...
Humans cannot prove anything other than their own existence.
Prove-be 100% certain For example, humans cannot prove the grass is green, the Earth is round, or that Barack Obama is an actual person (unless Barack Obama is my opponent). The only things humans can prove is that they exist, and they can only prove that to themselves. Cognito Ergo Sum (I think therefore I am), basically means that if you are thinking than something must be thinking, that something would be yourself. MY ARGUMENTS (1) We, as humans, experience the world through our sense...

Please take this into account when accepting the debate or judging it. Humpty Dumpty Was Pushed

As I was browsing through my list of previous debates, I found this one. I had quite a bit of fun debating it, and decided I'd revive it and see if anyone else thought it would be fun. As my opponent, you would be arguing FOR the resolution; that Humpty Dumpty WAS pushed, and didn't simply fall. I will leave the first round decision up to my opponent. They can simply accept, or they can create a case. I have no problem with either. To avoid semantics, Humpty Dumpty is the nursery rhyme...
cell phones should be allowed in school
I always wanted to debate this. I think it will be fun...
Unwelcome immigrants from the United States should be shot

"This royal throne of kings, this scepter'd isle, This earth of majesty, this seat of Mars, This other Eden, demi-paradise, This fortress built by Nature for herself Against infection and the hand of war, This happy breed of men, this little world, This precious stone set in the silver sea, Which serves it in the office of a wall, Or as a moat defensive to a house, Against the envy of less happier lands, This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England." When William Shakespe...
My opponent cannot forfeit every round of this debate and still win.

Although, I have seen some people forfeit every round of a debate and still manage to succeed in winning these cases are rare and far between. Usually the debate topic is really bad, the person is despised, or the arguments in favor are actually weak enough that no reply is nearly a tie. None of those apply. - I'm not hated. - The topic isn't so offensive as to illicit anti-votes. - My arguments are not tissue thin and worthless. There are two likely outcomes: -- My opponent will reply...
I will probably lose my first debate on DDO

First, my thanks to whomever takes me up on this, my first debate on this site. Second, my contention: I will lose my first debate on this site. My opening arguments are: a) As I have never debated on this site before, I am relatively inexperienced at formal debate, at least in this setting. Having read many of the past debates on this site, it is clear that the kind of reasoner who may be reasonably expected to take me up on a debate of this nature are the experienced logic enthusiasts; er...
Runescape is better than World of Warcraft

Runescape is way better than World of Warcraft. It's cheaper a lot more features and things to do. Sure world of warcraft has extra things runescape doesn't have such as things like not losing items when you die. But spending $20 a month for a game? Outrageous. For a cheap $5 a month you can get a much better game with a lot more features and stuff to do. Runescape is better than World of Warcraft. Runescape only costs $60 a year. World of Warcraft costs $240 a year! You do the math. Overall. R...
