Homeopathic remedies are ineffective

alex1094
RationalMadman

My contention is that homeopathically treated medicines or remedies are ineffective at curing the ailment it is advertised for.

The first round is acceptance.

I wish my con, whoever he/she may be, the best of luck.

Euthanasia

Yunior4life
16kadams

Personally, I am Pro- Euthananasia. If in the modern, well developed society we live in, we have the right to live, shouldn't we also get the right to die? Pain is a sad fact of life, it's inevitable. Most of us can get through a tought time, to the other side of the mountain. So, what if that mountain is just a uphill battle full of pain and misery that leads nowhere?...

All Snails Should be Slaughtered

Boris
frozen_eclipse

Snails who rebel against us can prove to a huge problem. According to the Geneva Convention, we are supposed to leave prisoners alone and respect them, etc. This is all a waste of time if you want to have a good day. Every single day snails invade and capture properties which they then use for their own devilish purposes. We must put a stop to this and there is one, very clear, way to do it. It must be made law that everyone on the planet must always carry a bazooka, so that if they e...

Coconuts are Evil

Boris
GCT

Coconuts are surely one of the most evil forces on the planet. Coconuts kill 150 people every single year and will continue to do so. Whereas just 15 people die each year from shark attacks. Therefore coconuts are ten times more deadly than sharks. My proof is represented here: http://www.straightdope.com/columns/read/2405/are-150-people-killed-each-year-by-falling-coconuts. To deny that coconuts are evil provides a gaping flaw in logic. They taste horrible too....

In Order to Abolish Illness all Hamsters must be Sacrificed

Boris
SarcasticIndeed

Hamsters carry all sorts of illnesses that are harmful to members of the public. Last year, 500 people died from illnesses that derive from hamsters. These illnesses, such as Hamster Pox, Hamsteritis, Cholera, and several more have been traced back to large involvement with hamsters. For decades, now, scientists and politicians have tried to find a way to solve it, but have not been able to. They may have blamed these illnesses on other things, or claimed that they do not exist, however I am...

should doctors be able to end the life of a suffering patient if asked by the patient?

yolobutiwill4ever
GCT

I will be taking the pro side of this debate, and my opponent will be taking the con side of the debate both of us explaining why it should or shouldn't be allowed. yes I think that doctors should be able to terminate the life of the patient if asked to do so, but only if they have no hope of recovery. If terminating the life of the patient promotes the best interests of the family, friends and the patient and violates no one's rights, the libertarian view maintains, then that action is moral...

R2 are arguments and refutations R3 are refuta...

Should smoking in public be illegal?

squeekietoy
strikepose821

Smoking in public should be illegal because smoking leads to numerous health problems. [c] It has been linked to respiratory problems in people who do not smoke who spend a lot of time with smokers or who live with smokers. [s] People in public places should not be subjected to people who want/need to smoke. The health and well being for non-smokers could be considered a national health problem. Health care due to respiratory issues due to smoking has increased the cost of health care tremend...

legalize cannabis

What would be the purpose? So people could get psychotic illness in the public eye. So the government could earn more money on outrageous taxes. My argument is I see no relevant reason to legalize it...

marijuana should be legalized

samantha0331
strikepose821

marijuana should not be legalized because it has been illegal for so long that it would be very difficult to change the laws regarding possession and use of marijuana. law enforcement has tried very hard to make sure that civilians are protected and safe. Driving while under the influence of marijuana is extremely unsafe. Although I do know of people who smoke and drive and can function normally, it is very dangerous to put the lives of others in danger because you would like to get high....
