Should the Government Regulate Soda?

SaintMichael741
lannan13

In the last year, the topic of banning soda has become very hot. Michael Bloomberg proposed banning sodas over 16oz or more. My question isn't if Bloomberg was right; my question is if the government should regulate soda at all. Perhaps there is a middle ground between ban and unrestricted purchasing.

Here are the rules.

-First Round Acceptance
-No new arguments in the last round
-Keep it clean, proofread what you write

To make it clear, I w...

Should teen pregnancy be promoted by television shows and is becoming pregnant at a young age smart?

BeastwithPurplePants
threecreation

I honestly believe that putting pregnant teenagers on a television show is will only succeed in making it seem as an OK idea to get pregnant at a young age. Teen years are meant to develop a persons character that will help them actually decide if they are going to want a child in the future. Becoming pregnant at a young age will slow the development of a person's emotional growth, and it will make them parents way earlier then they need to be. Putting all of that on a show will only cause many...

Abortion

PenelopeGrammer

Abortion. One of the most controversial topics in the 1970s is still burning with rage right now. The spark of the flame was the "Roe vs. Wade" court case in 1973. Roe was a single woman who was pregnant with a baby. Living in Texas, she could not abort the baby because all abortion laws made it illegal to have the abortion in her case. Roe then challenged the law to let her have the abortion. Roe ended up winning and making abortion legal in many states. The Partial Birth Abortion ban act was t...

River Song is the best companion on Doctor Who

tatamg
LotusNG

My argument is that River Song is the best companion on Doctor Who, for reasons I'll give in the next round. The debate is over River Song and the companion chosen by Con, and the goal is to prove that one character is at least better than the other.

Rules:
Revived series only, no classic Who.
The companion chosen must therefore be exclusively from the revived series, and must have appeared in more than one story.
Only the TV episodes count, prose or comics do no...
