gay marriage should be legalized

pensfan

I think gay marriage should be legal because there no different then a man and a woman in love. yes, the bible might say its wrong but doesn't it also say that god loves ALL his children, and doesn't it also say that everyone is created equal under the eyes of god? it could also raise some peoples self-esteem. Studies show that LGBT teens are between 30 and 40 percent more likely to attempt suicide than their straight peers. some of these teens might think "what's the point of living if I cant m...

Gay Marriage

Salutations, I will be arguing for the pro side of gay marriage. Gay Marriage should be legal. In the Declaration of Independence, it states "all men are created equal." Notice how there is no foot notes or any writing between the lines....

Gay marriage should be legalized by the federal government

Eevvee

Gay marriage should be legalized. Government and religion should not mix. Not allowing people of the LGBT community to marry is discrimination against their sexuality. Something should not be illegal just because others don't agree with it. The LGBT community deserves the same right to marry who they love and be bound legally just like everyone else can be....

In this debate, I will be arguing on the "pro" side, meaning I support gay marriage in the U.S. There will be four rounds, as follows: 1) Accepting 2) First Arguments 3) Counter-Arguments 4) Counter-Arguments and Closing Statements If you want to present your opening arguments during the first round, that would be fine. Thank you to anyone willing to participate. Remember, you want to show why you oppose gay marriage in the U.S....

Gay Marriage

1. Marriage is a union of love, not a union of genders. 2. Homosexuality is a human characteristic, not a crime. 3. 'Marriage is a human right, not a heterosexual priviledge.' 4. Homosexuals(nor anyone else) are not able to control their feelings or affect to who they fall in love with, so they shouldn't be punished for that. 5. Many people are against Christian values and God, but it isn't illegal to believe in God. As well, many people are against gay rights, so it shouldn't be...

Federal Legalization Of Gay Marriage

LieutenantCrunch
Liberalismisinsanity

Some people say that gay marriage is a states' rights issue. Some say it should be made completely illegal using a constitutional amendment. I say both views are incorrect. As I see it (and how the Supreme Court has ruled in the past), legalizing gay marriage on the federal level is already constitutional and is mandated by the 1st and 14th amendments to the Bill of Rights. Leaving gay marriage to the states or signing laws like the Defense Of Marriage Act into law are blatantly unconstitutional...
