Feminism. Gender equality. Will it be someday achieved?

novilona
2far4u2CharlesDarwin

I would say that this question arises another one: haven"t we actually yet achieved equality? Probably, not complete but relative one. Complete equality is fundamentally impossible as men and women are created different both in physiological and phycological ways. There is no way a woman will work in coalmines (quite a popular example) just because she is physically weaker than men. And it is not sexism, it"s the fact. There are more women working as teachers not because women were born to bring...

Water Is Not Wet

Sam224
friedchicken28

This debate is mostly for fun, looking for anyone who is willing to participate and disagrees with me. I believe that water is not wet for the folowing reasons: 1). If water is wet there has to be a dry form. There is no dry form of water that you can make wet by adding more water. 2). Water does not become "more wet" when you add water to it. 3). Water makes things wet, it, itself is not wet. Good luck to anyone who accepts this debate....

Should people be exempt from dress codes on the basis of their religion or culture?

Justin108
FandomInspired

If a company, school, etc. requires a certain dress code, should a person be exempt from it if it goes against their religion? If a company or school does not allow hats, should Jews be exempt from this to be allowed to wear a yarmulke? If company policy is that men are to be cleanly shaved, should Muslim men be allowed to still have a beard? Should women be allowed to wear a hijab? If so, why? Why should they be allowed special privileges just because they believe in something different?...

2nd Amendment

mattj11111
BobRogan

I am for the 2nd Amendment. "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." While I do believe that parts of this are sometimes taken out of context, let me define what the 2nd Amendment is actually intended for and why it is important. The 2nd Amendment is designed for use against government tyranny. The main reason for this debate will be stated below: Following the recent tragedy that was th...

Pitbulls as pets

chickentender34
MattyGam3r

Many debate is the pitbull should be a household pet. I agree that pitbulls should be a house held pet. For starters, why can people have pigs as pets when they are considered wild or farm animals but not a breed of dog in certain places. 1 in every 6 family"s owns a dog so this just shows that dogs are the most common owned pet. So why can"t people own a certain dog, but can household a wild animal ?In the past pitbulls were used as fighting dogs because of their strong jaws and naturally formi...

The Gender "Wage Gap" is Inaccurate and a Myth in the United States

mattj11111
Overhead

Many people are concerned with the supposed "gender wage gap" in America. If men were actually payed more than women for the same job, work, etc., I would without a doubt support change for equity. However, this debate and claim have been debunked a multitude of times, as it is easy to do so logically. The main claim that most Americans are probably familiar with is the "78 cents to a man's dollar" idea. Contrary to what many studies will tell the reader/watcher, this statistic is false. It i...

There Should be a Birth Tax on Blacks

icebeartheawesome
MulchAdo

We must place a birth tax on blacks, because they are very violent in society. Also, their dark skin absorbs too much sunlight, giving everyone hypothermia. Furthermore, because they absorb too much sunlight, causing plants to die, and thus herbivores and carnivores die, and we will have no animals or plants to get food from. Thus, I propose a birth tax of $50K USD on all black people. If a black woman is pregnant with twins, the birth tax is $100K, etc. If the fetus is biracial or only parti...
