Gay Marriage

The government should not be allowed to control who you love, and marry. It does not matter who you love, you should be allowed to love them without fear or anyone telling you can can not love them. The government already controls most of what we do, but who you love should not be something they have control of....

Gay Marriage

Hello! This would be my first debate and you seem like the perfect person for this debate. Gay marriage. How is it that Christianity is all about love and acceptance for one another but then when it comes to homosexuality all of that so called "love" is thrown right out the window? I'm curious to know why you truly disagree with equality for homosexuals....

Is Gay Marriage Healthy For Child Development and Morally Right?

Brasseur
peter_havers

Despite the increasingly tolerant attitude towards homosexuality in society, especially in the West, the treatment of homosexuals continues to differ from one country to another. In some nations, homosexuality is illegal whilst in others, homosexuals are now accorded an increasing catalogue of rights that have been enjoyed by heterosexuals all along. In the UK for instance, by virtue of a ruling of the European Court of Human Rights in Lustig-Prean and Beckett v UK (1999) gays can now serve in t...

Gay Marriage

Love is love, and homophobia is uncalled for. It's discrimination based on something that absolutely cannot be changed, and it's no different than discriminating against someone based on the color of their skin. Who are you to tell me who I can and cannot marry? Will it honestly affect your marriage or even your life in any possible way? No. It will only affect me and the person I marry. Saying that it should be wrong because "God" doesn't approve, and gays can't reproduce? If there is a God,...

This debate is about the subject of gay marriage and if it should be legalized. My viewpoint is that gay marriage should be legalized, and I will be arguing pro for this debate. The first round is just for acceptance, as well as any information that my opponent might wish for me to know. Good luck to both of us....

Legalizing gay marriage

rightwrong
MCUOfficial

A man and a man, or a woman and a woman should have the same rights to get married as a man and a woman have. Love should not be defined by race, gender, political affiliation, or what kind of religion you practice. You can't help who you fall in love with and no one should be able to tell you who you can and cannot marry....

I've looked through your profile, and noticed that the only way in which I disagree with you is through gay marriage. I am personally very much in favour of this. However, as I saw, you are against it. Therefore, I would like to hear why this is....

Gay marriage should be allowed in a church.

bwbraves
TrueScotsman

I am writing this debate because I can see this becoming a national debate in the future. 1. By church I am referring to a Roman Catholic church. That is the branch of Christianity I am referring to and all arguments against me should keep that in mind. 2. I believe that gay people should be able to be married in state. 3. I am not gay. 4. I am not homophobic. 5. I am Roman Catholic 6. I have been studying religion for four years, including a class in theology. 7. This is my first d...
