illegal immigration and outsourcing: practically similar

dairygirl4u2c
NeenahLibertarian

it's ironic some of the conservatives who push keeping foreigners out, yet want outsourcing to go next to unhindered. now, foreginers are often not able to talk english and wouldn't be able to contribute but would be on the welfare etc. but, that's a very minor phenomenon as most have jobs etc. plus, if your reasons are for protecting about that stuff, what about those who are intelligent and smart, why can't they just come as they wish and not jump through years of hoops? the real reason...

I'm ready for another debate against someone that views illegal immigration as a "positive" thing for America. Let me state this clearly, I am pro-immigration but anti-illegal immigration. I'm a born and raised Texan and I can debate this topic all day long. I've been around illegals all my life and I know the economic impact that comes with illegal immigrants....

Stopping Illegal Immigration

mostatebears17

In America right now there are aproximately 12 million illegal immigrants. Now my posistion on this topic is that there should be some sort of military force guarding our borders rather than a bunch of volunteers called the Border Patrol. If we had some National Guard troops or active Army troops on the border Illegal Immigration will almost drop to zero. Our Boder Patrol is tired, civilians, and they just can't get the job done with the limited resources they have. T.J. Bonner of the Nation...

America needs to crack down on illegal immigration.

Here are the negatives of illegal immigration. I would like my opponent to say the positives. -Costs taxpayers millions in healthcare each year. When an injured illegal immigrant comes in and receives medical care, it is on the taxpayer dollars. -Costs California an increased tax to have translators for hospitals because of the large amount of spanish-only speaking people who called. -Takes jobs away from hardworking americans. I'll name more in my next arguement....

Illegal Immigration

First off, let me just say that I am not "pro-illegal immigration" in the sense that I support people moving here without documentation. Rather, I am for reform that encourages immigration and does not intimidate those who want to better themselves and thier lives. As an Arizonan, I am right at the center of the illegal immigration debate. I have gotten to know some of the people whom have immigrated here both legally and illegally. In my experience, I have found that immigrants of all kinds,...

Whether it's through the underground tunnels from Mexico to Arizona or the ocean trek from Cuba to Florida, illegal immigration happens and should be stopped. There is a reason why we have a thorough process to issue an immigrant his/her U.S. citizenship. Everyone can relate and understand analogies, or so I hope, so that's where I'll start. We all have stood in line at a grocery store, gas station, etc. and we know what it feels like to wait for our turn to pay-out. Sometimes the line...

Hello, I am sorry that I was too busy to reply previously. Please allow this debate to continue, by accepting my challenge to start it again from where we left off. To the spectators, this is the continuation of a debate that was forfeited due to lack of time. Please vote based on that debate also. For reference it is here: http://www.debate.org/debates/Illegal-Immigration-Should-we-deport-all-illegal-immigrants-we-find-in-the-US/1/ When I said that they "benefit society more than the...

is guarding the border the best way to control illegal immigration

NjWood97

as has been shown greatly over the years, a border fence has not been able to stop many people from crossing the border. there are always ways for determined people to get around it, if you build a 15 foot wall to try to stop people from getting through, someone can always bring a 16 foot ladder. fences can also be cut through, demolished, penetrated, and even tunneled under as has been proven by many drug cartels. fences would only be able to truly stop immigration if every foot was manned by l...

Illegal immigration is bad

AquaGekko23
debateapollo

Illegal immigrants are detrimental to our society because they hurt our economy and take jobs. They cost the federal government a lot of money each year. They also take jobs away from American workers. Because of their sheer numbers illegal immigrants put a great strain on the American economy. It costs the government billions of dollars a year to house these illegal immigrants, and because they don't pay taxes we never get a single cent of that money returned to our government. They also cos...
