Cigars and Cigarettes should be banned and stopped being sold in shops.

voteandsay
NiqashMotawadi3

Cigars and Cigarettes should be stopped being sold, because it can kill and/or give them fatal illnesses (e.g. cancer). I don't get why people still sell them. If people are still smoking, and they suddenly get stopped from being sold, they don't know where on earth to get them from, and they'll no longer be smoking. Doctors say that it's around 8 years after you quit smoking, you'll be around as healthy as you were before you started smoking. Read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Health_effe...

Medical research does more harm than good. That's the topic. This type of research requires things like animal testing and human trials, too. This damages our animal and human economy because doing such hideous things is terrible to the environment. It's mean....

What do you think of this new tanning ban starting on January 1?

ashley9716
lannan13

For those of you that have not heard about this tanning law all children were allowed to tan at the age of 14 with a parent consent and now they are changing the law to unless you are over the age of 18 you are not allowed to tan at all. Which i think is very stupid, if we make a law on tanning then kids are just going to lay out, stay in the sun longer, or use home tanning beds more, kids find a way to do EVERYTHING. One little law against it isn't going to change anything and if there gonna ma...

Abortion

FemaleGamer
Xie-Xijivuli

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsknXsm2eHo No nation devoted to individual liberty should force women back to the days of back-alley abortions. No women should have to bear a child against thier will. Free-will. That's what I stand for. No, no. That would be terrible, un-ethical and generally wrong. Women with free-will? God-forbid! The fact is that women will always still desire to have an abortion, which some may follow through with. This will never end abortion. You have no control over...

People suffering from dementia should be forbidden to drive

schachdame
Zenriax

So this is going to determine, whether people, diagnosed with some sort of dementia, should legally be prevented from driving a car or heavier vehicles such as motor bikes or agricultural tractors. We are having a first acceptance-only and last rebuttal-only round. I am Pro for this matter. As the legal status quo is pretty mixed within the different western countries, there is a shared BOP....

The practice of circumcising babies should be discontinued

bluesteel
Danielle

The lack of specificity of an agent in the resolution implies that people should all collectively discontinue the practice of circumcising small children; the resolution does not imply a state-mandated ban on the practice of circumcision. My opponent should offer a brief introduction in round 1. Argumentation will begin in round 2. ==Definitions== According to Princeton's Wordnet: Circumcision means "surgical removal of the foreskin of males." [1] Practice means "a customary way o...
