The war in Iraq is not a justified war.

Phyfe2112
Mikegj1077

According to the Geneva Convention, the War in Iraq was illegal because it was a war of aggression. Also, the war in Iraq is step one in the so called "War on Terror". The War on Terror is aimed at terrorist groups and such, and it was supposedly even proven that Osama is responsible for the 9/11 attacks. But we attacked Iraq anyway, which had nothing to do with the 9/11 attacks and even was supported by the US before the first gulf war, even during the time Saddam was in power. For proo...

I see you are a libertarian, and you support join McCain. However, one of the FEW things you agree with McCain on is the war in Iraq. I'm against the war so I'm curious of why you are for it. So let me tell you why I am against it and you can tell me why you think I'm wrong. 1) The people who have made predictions before we entered Iraq such as "we're going to find WMD's, the Iraqi citizens will welcome us there, etc..." were dead wrong, and now they're the ones saying "if we leave, they're g...

Debate DescriptionIn this debate Con will argue that the War in Iraq is wrong. Pro will have to argue the war in Iraq is just and right.I will start this debate off by making a few points• War can never be a moral act, not even as a "last resort." In the best case, war is a necessary evil.• The war in Iraq does not qualify as a just war, conforming to a set of principl...

Greetings to my opponent. Good luck and have fun, keep 'er clean. Just to clarify, I am stating that the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq are, indeed religious conflicts between the Islamic peoples and the 'Christian infidels' of the West. As such, my resolution will also state that the entire affair is born back to the Crusades, in which the disputes over Jerusalem and the Holy Land cost many lives and stirred many sentiments. In fact, this was made quite clear when Husseim stated that h...

The War on Iraq

I want to see if anyone can give any good reasons for continuing the war on iraq. Seeing as the person we went in looking for left a while ago, and the fact that we seem to be running around in their country causing more harm than good. Personally i think its a waste of time. While we spend billions of dollars just to keep up a useless presence over there our economy is crashing, granted they predict a recovery but until then what are we to do? It seems as though the only thing we do over there...

The Iraq war is illegal and amoral and should never have been waged.

Jthongme

In 2003 almost two years after the horrendous events of 9/11 the Bush Administration started saying that Iraq and it's leader Saddam Hussein were partly responsible for the hijackings. They also started to push information that Iraq was seeking nuclear material from Niger. They also insisted that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction or WMDs. They told the American public through a massive media blitzkrieg that Iraq posed an imminent threat to America and her allies throughout the world. These cr...

Iran had the right to invade Iraq the Caus Belili was obvious. Saddam Hussien was a insult to the Ba'ath Party of Iraq and attacked the Shi'ite Majortiy that Iran became the defender of in 1979. Saddam also Funded Wahabi Groups which is Anti-Shia and a embarrassment to Islam. He also petrayed the Arab Socialist Ba'ath party and acted more like a Fascist than a Socialist. He also betrayed the Assad family in Syria banned Ashura and Closed of Imam Hussien and Ali shrines. He was a Sunni running a...

Iraq war was justified

England and Denmark were definitely in it for imperialism. I suspect it being that both countries have had imperial empires, and I don't think it has ended. But that aside, CIA reports show that there were no weapons of mass destruction ( here are some sources for you -- http://www.nbcnews.com/id/7634313/#.UmWpLvmsiSo http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/3718150.stm http://www.leadingtowar.com/claims_facts_noweapons.php http://www.foreignpolicy.com/articles/2013/08/25/secret_cia_files_prove_america_he...

The war in Iraq is both good for america and the citizens of Iraq

People who look at the war in Iraq often think that it is a war AGAINST Iraq. This all in all is not true. Our war over in the middle east is against terror. Terrorists are housed in the northern part of Iraq currently. The coalition forces of our brave men and the humble men of Iraq are working together to fight against the threat of Al-Qaeda....

Freedom is not free and the cost is war. Freedom is the reason we are in Iraq.

All of us have heard the term "Freedom isn`t free.". It is commonly said and we read it on cars everywhere! So I am guessing that this simple fact is "common knowledge". If it is common knowledge then why do so many people (*cough* liberals *cough*) act like its not a fact?! The war over in Iraq is all about FREEDOM! The Iraqi people WANT FREEDOM! The one problem is, is that they dont have the streangth to take it for themselves, so we are helping them! Freedom is not free! War is the price we h...
