The gay alelle

drennan
creationtruth

Gay alleles are definitely a real thing. It is the only logical explanation for why people are gay especially at such a young age. It is simple. When this so called gay allele is turned on... no pun intended it makes people gay. It is in our genetic coding and most people are wired to be straight but occasionally we get people with the gay allele turned on which explains why people are gay. Being gay is not a choice. It is determined by our genetic coding. People who possess this tend to be gay....

Should people be able to keep exotic animals?

AnimalJamRocks
Mal618

One reason why people shouldn"t be able to keep exotic animals is because they are very hard to take care of. Exotic animals aren"t very good companions. They need lots of attention, space, and when they grow up, lots and lots of food. If the animals needs aren"t met, they could suffer....

Resolution: All whole numbers are interesting.

sboss18
GangstaRob

Starting a relatively casual-style debate for anyone interested. I am for the idea that every single whole number can be considered interesting, and my opponent will try to convince us the resolution is false. I will provide all necessary definitions I can think of. (Feel free to let me know if you want me to change any of the given definitions. I will consider reasonable alterations.) All: The whole quantity or...

The quantum fluctuations arguement dissproves the existence of God.

JimShady
cakerman

Whenever a theist puts forth the question "how does something come from nothing?", atheists have a very scientific and seemingly full proof answer of quantum fluctuations. Quantum fluctuations are "random fluctuations can produce matter and energy out of nothingness." [1] This is a source used from the seemingly atheist person I am debating. The article says that because of these quantum fluctuations, the universe/big bang can produce itself without need of a God. The article states "The Big...

Earth is spherical/spheroid shaped

Youngastronomer
Edlvsjd

I will challenge Edlvsjd for this debate as he seems to be one of the actually serious flat earthers and not a troll. He will argue Earth is flat while I shall argue it's round, good luck! Rules 1) No trolling 2) No ad hominem 3) No profanity 4) Sources should be given 5) Burden of proof is shared, we both must prove what shape Earth is, is it a sphere/spheroid planet or disk/infinite plane? Rounds 1) Acceptance 2) Opinion with your evidence and sources 3) Rebuttals 4) Defence...

The Earth is flat

Cat47
Edlvsjd

In this debate, I will be challenging debate.org's favorite flat Earther Edlvsjd to another debate on the shape of the Earth. The rules are simple. 1. First round is for acceptance only. 2. Second round is for arguments only. No rebuttals, because that is for the third round. 3. No new arguments can be made in the third round. 4. Show some proof for your arguments......
