Does the Moon exist?

MoonTruther69
Mharman

I'm not so convinced that the moon actually exists, not that we faked the moon landing (which we did) but that the moon itself doesn't exist at all! The moon landing is obviously faked, landing in a fictional location is obviously a hoax created by the government to cover up their suspicious activity in space exploration. The aliens being held in Area 51, if capable of communicating, would confirm that the United States when "visiting the moon" was actually searching for extraterrestrial life....

Time never changes

Akhenaten
M1DN16H7

The concept that time can change with speed is silly. If you get into a space craft and travel at the speed of light for tens years you will be exactly the same age as your twin brother when you get back....

The universe needs a creator, therefore God exists

KostasT.1526
sengejuri

Hello In this debate the topic discussed is whether the universe requires a creator (or rather, a God) or not, on scientific and philosophical terms (mainly the former). Pro is to argue that it does need a creator, while I, Con, will argue that it does not. The burden of proof is therefore shared. ______________________________________________ Definitions: Universe [1]: [yoo-nuh-vurs] noun 1. the totality of known or supposed objects and phenomena throughout space; the cosmos; macroc...

There is no such thing as an immune system

Akhenaten
nightmareuser

The concept of humans having an immune system is false. It is just a means of justifying the use of vaccination for disease prevention. It assumes that nature made a mistake when the human body was made and that doctors can fix this mistake. Sorry, nature doesn't make mistakes; only humans make mistakes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z57uBCcOdvI&feature=youtu.be&t=2h16m7s...

Gravity waves prove the existence of aether

Akhenaten
SperoXVII

The recent discovery of gravity waves both confirms and disproves relativity. Einstein predicted the existence of gravity waves. (Very clever). Einstein also said that there was no aether. (very stupid) A gravity wave has no way of traveling through space if there is no medium to travel through. https://www.livescience.com/60695-why-gravitational-wave-discovery-matters.html?utm_source=notification...

Germs don't cause disease

Akhenaten
phitb

You always hear on the news that germs are causing disease. Recently, Hepatitis A was blamed for causing several deaths in San Diego. They recommended that people should wash their hands more to stop the disease. It is true that eating other people's poo poo is not a good thing to do for your health. But this is not the real cause of most disease in general. If you avoid sugar, grain and dairy products your body can withstand a little poo poo contamination. Leaky gut syndrome is the main cause o...

Australia's laws on Embryonic Research are outdated.

missgallagher1
JohnSmythe

As research is conducted in other countries, they have identified genes in zygotes with could prevent miscarriages from occurring. However, if this research was conducted in Australia, the scientist behind this groundbreaking research would be put in jail for 15 years. Does Australia need to re-think its policies/laws about this research? Does it prevent us from moving forward in this field of research? what about the future of our country? how could this research benefit/harm Australia? Th...

Is there scientific evidence for Creationism?

Spud
Swarmie

Title of the debate says it all. I will be taking the position that there is no scientific evidence for creationism. Pro will be taking the position that there is scientific evidence for creationism. Rules are simple. Put forward your three best arguments for creationism which you think is backed by science and I'll assess your arguments. You are not allowed to post any more than 3 arguments for the opening segment as there is to be no gish galloping....
