JimmyRusltler

I see a lot of debates of gay marriage yet none of them secular. Every one of them has religious terms and for once, a secular debate about it must be made Just to clear things up i am for it and con will be against it. No references to religious terms will be made. Good luck challenger....

Gay Marriage Should Be Legal in the United States

JustCallMeTarzan
InquireTruth

This debate was issued to InquireTruth... twice. He let it expire both times. Now I open it up to the public to defend his position because he apparently will not do so. *************************************************** The proposition on offer is that Gay Marriage should be legal in the United States. For the purposes of debate, "Gay Marriage" will be held to mean marriage between two individuals of the same sex. This definition arises from two segments of relevant law common to most...

I think that gay people should be allowed to get married. I mean why not? They are no different than us.. They haven't chosen to be gay. So many people say they choose to be gay. Some people take their lives because they don't want to be gay. Think for a minute about this.. Did you ever just choose to be straight? Or were you born like that? People can't help who they love, and they shouldn't be punished or feel downgraded. They are the same as us. They are just humans. Everyone's different. If...

In this debate, I will be arguing on the "pro" side, meaning I support gay marriage in the U.S. There will be four rounds, as follows: 1) Accepting 2) First Arguments 3) Counter-Arguments 4) Counter-Arguments and Closing Statements If you want to present your opening arguments during the first round, that would be fine. Thank you to anyone willing to participate. Remember, you want to show why you oppose gay marriage in the U.S....

Gay Marriage.

Tes95

(Using my same standpoints as all are valid and relevant.) Separation of Church and State works both ways, therefore on legal grounds? This issue should be locked away indefinitely. Gays bring up the "fact" that it is a "Civil Rights" issue. First off, marriage was created by straights. As a patent owner, do you not have rights to said patent? As the creators of marriage, do we not have the right to reserve it? Do you have any idea how many issues this causes? So if I had a birthday party...
