HarmsA. Global warming is real and caused by humans – the only way to avoid the devastating impacts of warming, such as extinction, is to reduce CO2 emissions IPCC, 14 (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, 11/2/14, “Climate Change 2014: Synthesis Report”, http://www.ipcc.ch/pdf/assessment-report/ar5/syr/SYR_AR5_SPM.pdf) "Without additional mitigation efforts be...

We should help poor humans more than endangered animals

TrakJohnson
Krakokane

Animals are quite important, I agree, as they are essential in the food chain. But, the human you will save from hunger and educate might be the one that will find the end to all problems (even if that is not very probable) On the other side, it's not the animal you save that's going to resolve all the problems on Earth !...

Why are Killer Whales still in Captivity?

lilhan56
wowwhatwhy

I have no idea why people agree with Whales being kept in captivity. There are many things I could say about this, but I would like to keep it brief. Within the UK the laws for Killer Whales in captivity are very strict. There is no way that any UK sea world or sea life centre could house a Killer Whale. I know that if anyone wanted to own a Killer Whale, they would need more land than the whole of England before they would be accepted to own the animal, therefore it is impossible to do so. The...

bpoudyal

So let me begin this debate.....the motion is : Do governments need to address issues of social dominance faced by men at the hands of women.....and I am speaking for the motion. By social dominance....it means men being suppressed, or given very little opportunity, or abused or mistreated in any way by women as women are progressively getting more and more empowered in our societies and still enjoying a wide range of rights that men donot. Now, the topic of discussion of my motion doesnot inclu...

If yes is right, and no is the opposite, would that make no left? Well, if no is left, and yes is the opposite, would that make yes stay? Well if yes is stay, and no is the opposite, wouldn't that make no move? Well if no is move, and yes is the opposite, wouldn't yes be stubborn? Well isn't stubbornness considered morally wrong? Well, if yes is stubborn, and stubborn is wrong, wouldn't that make no right?...

4 wolves would kill a lion in a fight.

JonnyBrown
Poe-vahkiin

Me and my friend were debating this ourselves. I personally believe that 4 wolves, whilst all smaller than one lion could take it down. I think this because even though a lion has far superior strength to a wolf in every way including bite force, I think that wolves outnumbering a lion 4:1 would give them the upper hand, their combined strength, intelligence and teamwork would in my opinion be able to take down a lone lion due to how wolves have evolved to become efficient group killers. Granted...
