This happened on my 4th floor apartment`s balcony within a few hours. Photos here: http://imgur.com/wYzw3m0 http://imgur.com/oNTdC2h You can see some soil near to the other plant pots on the concrete which was the original place of the pot -as usual- with of course the plant in it. In the afternoon, I noticed that the pot was moved about a meter, the plant was taken out, the pot was upside down, and no trace soil on the concert while this all was happening. No winds and no human or a...

What number system would be the best replacement for base 10.

RainbowDash52
mostlogical

I will be arguing for octal (base 8). In round 1, my opponent will state what number system he thinks would be the best replacement for base 10, excluding base 8 or base 10. No arguments in round 1. Pro will argue base 8 is the better replacement for base 10 to be used by people. Con will argue whatever he/she posted in round 1 is the better replacement for base 10 to be used by people. Burden of proof is shared. Additional rules: 1. no kritiks 2. no semantics 3. sources cited mus...

Legal Prostitution

Let's get rid of gnats.

diarrhea_of_a_wimpy_kid

Back when I was a wee lad, playing in the local school yards and such, there used to be these large swarms of bugs. No, not bugs - GNATS. Friggin gnats. What is their purpose? I mean, I know... they're scavengers bugs which eat up rotting flesh blah blah blah, save me the wikipedia dialogue. They're friggin gnats. Tiny little bugs with tiny little bodies. They'd be flying up in my ears. They'd be flying up in my nose. They'd be flying up in my mouth. They'd be flying up in my eyes. Just disru...

I think green spaces are more important than expansion of cities for economic progress. I can give many reasons..... Economic benefits- Houses close to parks are on average 8% more expensive than similar properties further away. Greener cities attract more visitors, whose spending on shopping and leisure generates job opportunities. Health benefits-People who use green spaces are more likely to take exercise than those who don"t, and that the attractiveness or quality of green space is importa...
