The USA's type of education is much better than Kazakhstan's

Sultan94
Dinara8

In other words Kazakhstan's education we can call USSR's. When USSR existed, people said that USSR's education is the best. But it is a controversial topic. I claim that education of the USA is the best. Because in the USA, people learn only that subjects which will help them in their future occupation. I studied in Kazakhstani school with USSR's type of education. For example in my school, teachers of physics or chemistry teached us, like we are future workers of nuclear stations. So, I will...

Extending the School Year from 180 days to 210 days

polticialwiz
Spritle

I am a High school Senior, who believes that the school days ought to be extended by 20-30 days. As we speak, I currently attend school for 180 days per year, with a mandatory 180 days attendance needed to pass to advance tot he next grade. However I have notice over the past serveral years that teachersre force to rush through lesson plans each school yera to prepare students for standardized tests and Common-End-of-Course-Exams. As a result many students have struggled to keep up with these...

Should the education system be changed?

Solomon_Grim
jh1234l

Here is my opinion of how the education system should be set up. Grades I do not believe the grades should be set up by Ashe, but of intelligence. This would fix the problem of going to fast for some and to slow for others. Homework I believe that homework should be taken out of the schools. It tends to be b...

The word democracy has multiple definitions.

WMdebate
YYW

This debate is open to anyone. N00b sniping is not a problem for me. I'll take on all comers.

This is a serious debate. I was challenged on this resolution by a DDO member who shall remain nameless on a comments section of another debate.

To quote: "I believe Democracy in fact does have a definition whether or not the Economist beleives it or not is their own decision. Words just don't change meaning because people want them to fit their definition....

I Think that single gender schools inflict a very bad opinion in the other gender. I also think, that they will have deal with other genders as they grow up during dating and other periods of time. It (not being around other gender) will make them uneasy or nervous around the other gender....
