Laptops are Better Than Desktop Computers

jh1234l
thepieman

This is my first debate, so I won't be really good at it. Here are some definitions: Desktop computer-Computers that usually have: A monitor, a mouse, a keyboard and the actual computer. Laptop: same as a desktop computer, though usually smaller can be taken from place to place. Usually has batteries. Here is my first argument: Laptops have rechargeable batteries, so they can be used somewhere an electrical socket is not provided. Second argument: Laptops can be taken from place to place,...

Is Youtube's copyright system sabotaging video creators?

Stage13-10
BlindBeliever

Well, yes. For beginners, you can have your video flagged by someone who claims to own the copyrighted content, and they can do this multiple times, thus your video has a high risk of being taken down for no reason. And what makes matters worse, is the infamous Content ID system. This system manages to make YouTube a WORSE place by causing mass confusion, because videos are being flagged and taken down en masse by bots. And for the dumbest of reasons. You can get your video flagged and taken dow...

Should Cell Phones Be Allowed To Be Used during School Hours

drakie.bro
getrekt20

I think us students should be allowed to use cell phones during school hours. One fact why I think we should because the school could save money on supplies like calculators or/and computers. The student could have fun on their phones during recces break and during class they could be monitored if they are staying on track with their work or fooling around and if they were to fool around they would get are phone taken away and have their parents called. To be honest kids in school already sneak...

Do video games lead to violence?

bordierimsc2014
hannamsc2014

I believe that video games lead to violence. This violence can be demonstrated by kids, teenagers, and even adults. With technology these days, video games seem too real. I know that in the game 'Grand Theft Auto', gamers kill cops and steal cars. This gives people an idea that it is just to do this in the real world. I remember on the news one day how police were questioning a male for something. The male then stole one of the officer's guns and then killed the officers, followed by him stealin...

Should all schools participate in the National Shut Down Your Screen Week?

Icestar
awes1357

First of all, people spend more time on technology than anything else. According to the researchers at the University of California, San Diego, "At home, people consume 12 hours of media a day on average when an hour spent with, say, the Internet and TV simultaneously counts as two hours. That compares with five hours in 1960." People would check their social media, play games and surf on the Internet many times a day. According to the article, "Attached to Technology and Paying a Price", "In 20...
