Is Dance a Sport?

NikkiChak
Preston

Dance is most definitely a sport. All dancers are athletes. They take time to train, exercise, travel, and work out. We sweat way more than football players do and burn twice as many calories. We compete just like every other sport. We get bruises, pull muscles, bleed, and break bones. Don't count dancers out. We have the strength of football players, muscles like weight lifters, stunts like cheerleaders, flexibility like contortionists, legs like soccer players, tumbling like gymnasts, and can...

The Luis Suarez incident was bad for the game

Nickpowell
Cermank

To begin this I decided to define what bad means. What it said was that bad is not of an adequate standard or unsatisfactory. Although what Luis did was completely breaking the rules it only drew attention to the World Cup even more which can only be good for the game as more spectators/viewers will generate more income which can be spent on the development of football. What Luis did generated emotion from people and that is what sport thrives on. The fact that he broke a rule and sunk his teeth...

Cheerleading is a sport

keannareid
Sashil

Don't say it's easy and you don't sweat unless you've been one. Id like to see you go to practices four days a week for 3 hours at a time and do full outs and conditioning for that one time when you out on the mat for 2 minutes and 30 seconds. You come and live the life of a cheerleader for a day, I'd like to see what you say after that.c95;...

Luis Suarez should be banned for life?

Cazaam
jp_porwisz10

So here's a question I've seen somewhere and it was an interesting one and that question is, Should Luis Suarez be banned for life? In my opinion I think not. For as much as a douche as he is, people can change the error of their ways eventually with a hard enough punishment for bad things or a nice reward for a good thing... However even though Suarez got banned for 4 months for his third biting occasion, this time on Giorgio Chiellini, an Italian defender, I'd say it would be too harsh fo...

Should Jimmy Graham be considered a Tight End or a Wide Receiver

Domr
TruthHurts

The NFL New Orleans Saints have put their franchise tag on Jimmy Graham. The Saints listed him as a Tight End, and he is arguing he is a Wide Receiver. This affects his salary using the Franchise Tag. The Franchise Tag is a designation a team may apply to a player scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent. There are three types of Franchise Tags, exclusive, non-exclusive, and transition. J. Graham was assigned the "exclusive tag" so we are only discussing his eligibility. An "exclu...

Boxer Carl Froch should be considered the lineal super middleweight champion

kingbertans
Milos

This is the first debate of the "Super Six" tournament. Good luck to my opponent. Round 1 is used for the acceptance. Round 4 is used as the closing statement. I will argue that British boxer Carl Froch should be considered the lineal champion in super middleweight division. [1] Lineal champion: A fighter can only truly become the lineal champ by beating the previous lineal champ, or being "the man that beat the man". In the event the prior lineal champ has permanently retired (or,...

College sports should be privatized

RobertMcclureSmith
Domr

I will take the following position: College sports should be privatized rather than as a part of institutions of higher learning. Recent debate on paying college athletes is controversial, especially given that in many states football or basketball coaches are the highest paid state employees, or that only a few programs generate profits, and those profits remain within the athletic departments rather than benefiting the schools. I have no objection to students forming clubs and do not sugges...
