If you would like to debate me on this subject, just say I accept. I will be using sources, and if sources may be questioned based on reliability. Please be reasonable, and just remember, it's just a debate. My apologies if I do not immediately respond, I will debate as soon as possible. Good luck, and have fun!...

should students have to do homework?

masterdebator4thewin
jesusfreak22

I believe that students shouldn't have to do homework. 1. they spend six hours at school, five days a week. 2. they need time to relax and time to spend with their family and friends. 3. majority of high school students have jobs to go to after school. 4. the Australian government is now thinking about adding another day to the school week, plus longer hours. 4. if the students are pushed too much, they will become frustrated and most likely give up on their schooling altogether....

No money for education

InfraRedEd
Mickeyrocks

Just keep the buildings maintained and let the people use them and manage their use. If they want to just play bingo that is just fine. Why don't the universities cancal classes and just have $port$ since it is what they have done anyway by cutting off funding and letting Monsanto tell Berkeley to fire a prof who showed that there might be adverse effects to GE. Big business is telling us what to teach and ruining any chance of getting an education. We need to free education and give it back to...

Junk food in school

Switzerland
freedomsquared

Though it's a far, desperate reach to get rid of junk food availability for children outside parental supervision I believe it's imperative that we try. It's said junk food/processed food has common neurobiological effects on the brain as a hard drug like heroin or cocaine would have, making you feel you need it when you don't. With that being said is it not immoral to provide an addiction that young minds couldn't understand or overcome untill later age or maybe never? I think the young generat...

"No Child left Behind" Act be repealed?

dcarbone7
congresschick

My argument is that the "No Child Left Behind" Act should be repealed, therefore making the CON argument that the Act should NOT be repealed. 8,000 characters are allowed, but you don't have to use all 8,000. Good Luck to my opponent, have fun! I believe that the "No Child left Behind" Act should be repealed because I think that is is just an easier way to get children through school without having them actually learn. I think that many kids in school are being taught how to test, not being t...
