Should college and healthcare be government-controlled?

perfectjfl10
ritchie.mg

Economics has shown that capitalism always brings out the most efficient use of resources and allocation. However, history has shown that unregulated Laissez-faire capitalism has its own downfall as well. Therefore, it's important for the government to control certain aspects of the market, such as defense and infrastructures for the common benefit of every citizen. However, I also argue that "humanitarian" institutions such as college and healthcare should be controlled too. Here are some of my...

Doctors should be paid more than footballers.

hasnat614

Yes they should. Doctors save lives. Save lives. How much can you buy life for? Footballers entertain people for money and get paid more than doctors. Why is this? They are famous. Should minimum wage be raised to $15.00 an hour?

HaleyHendershot
eZminT

Employees who are paid minimum wage (which currently on average is 7.25) are asking for a raise. But, not just any kind of raise. They want the pay to be increased to $15 dollars an hour. Now an E.M.T(who is trained to save lives) is only paid roughly $14 an hour. So, tell me how a person who flips burgers should get paid more than a person who has a human life on their hands? The minimum wage receivers claim, "We do to much." And, "It's not a livable wage." Although, it may not be a wage where...

Communism Is Superior to Capitalism

prodigyofaristotle
BrandonHyde

Communism is a severely misunderstood economic system that has been twisted by Western Neophobia. It promotes trust and kindness between people working for a common good. The Soviet Union, China, and any other case of "communism" that has been seen today was not true communism. These cases were lies used by dictators in order to seize power and oppress people....
