No semantic or loophole arguments; I'm new and it's not interesting to me to argue over the likely mistakes in my setup. 2. First round is for acceptance, no new arguments in the last round3. wh media cenship is a bad thing

finntheninja
Daktoria

1) The media holds a great impact on society. Essentially media is a tool by which the opinions and views of people is molded [1]. This means that with censorship, as applied by a the state, can cause people to think in the point of view that the government wants them to think in.The spread of one idea is being stopped in order to allow for the spread of an ideal that the government supports. An excellent example of this can be seen in the recent events in Libya [2] as an alleged rape victim's s...

gas prices

brookiemonster
Ore_Ele

the gas prices today are now way over the limit. did you know that the gas used to cost 99 cent. I wish the gas can be like that again, but we need to protest to someone that we need to lower the current gas prices. I don't know about you but I have to say that as they raised these gas prices, people have only filled the tank half way and not full and that has caused people to run out of gas and not be able to go some where any longer. they will have to call someone to go get them. if I haven't...

This is a redo of a debate which wasn't finished due to schedule conflicts. I apologize for having waited too long to reissue the debate but I haven't had access to my laptop. As agreed we will be copying and pasting our previous arguments until we come to the new round. I once again wish my opponent luck!...

should women be allowed to be in war???

coolmikeb
delaineyk

There's something instinctive in most men, I think, that makes them protect women - that instinct isn't trained out of them and it doesn't bode well for a war situation. A man would like to jump for a grenade for a female more then a man. We wouldn't improve our US army if women where involved. If women are allowed to go into war, then it would take us a lot of more training to have the men of the military be able to sacrifice a women. Plus, there are many less women in the world then men, which...

Should we eliminate sanctions against Iran to normalize relations?

DaniDichter
CiRrK

We can't begin to make progress if we continue to shut out countries that could be helpful. With the current situation in the Middle East, is this a good time to begin to rebuild relations? Particularly with the idea that we may be facing new governments that may or may not support us? Is this a good time to in essence begin anew?...
