Abortion is a mother's right.

Torvald
InVinoVeritas

It should be the prerogative of the mother to have a fetus or embryo aborted, since it is not a child, but an extension of her own body, and remains such until the third trimester. I challenge anyone to make a valid case for why a mother should not be allowed to have an abortion. The debate shall be conducted under the following rules: 1. No trolling 2. Ordered, at least to some extent, and civil conduct 3. Legible and comprehensible English 4. No sensationalism; unfounded statements like...

Lincoln-Douglas Debate on Euthanasia

bsh1
oppai_lover666

So, this round will function as close to a standard Lincoln-Douglas debate round as I can make it. To ensure that you're familiar with LD rules, please post a comment or message me before accepting. Thanks! Because this is going to be a traditional LD debate, plans, counterplans, "kritiks," off-topic cases, presumption arguments, theories, and tautologies are prohibited. There is no need for solvency. Debaters will be expected to offer a value and criterion structure, and to defend it. For mo...

Fast Food should be illegal because it is too fattening

CrazyMonkey
feverish

Fast food is not good for us and America is having enough weight problems as it is. Mc. Donalds for example: Mc Donalds has 101 items on its menu. Out of those items 74 are over 200 calories. The items under that amount of calories include Salad Dressing (which is still 190) 4 piece mc nugget, eggs, a cookie (1 cookie is 160 cal.) Yogurt, hash browns, ect. Not the really Big items. Did you know that 1 small order of fries has 210 calories in it. 210 calories in a small side order! That is over...

McDonald's can be harmful.

sdcharger
Cindela

Ladies and Gentlemen, Good (whenever you are reading this) Thank you for accepting this debate. My first point: McDonald's kills animals for food. This in itself proves that McDonald's can be harmful because McDonald's is harmful to animals. No further argument is needed for this point. My second point: McDonald's is fattening. According to the McDonald's website, a cheeseburger alone has 6 grams of saturated fat. A ten-piece Chicken McNuggets has 1120 mg of sodium. And did y...

bringing a kangaroo to the prom would be more benificial then a swan

frenchmoose
Logical-Master

This is true because (as we all know) kangaroos are much more adept at fighting off offenders that wish to bring harm to them.. thus noone would get in your way ad all of the french fries and cake would be yours for the takeing... If you were to bring a swan then the swan would try to flaunt its feathers everywhere makeing it a hazzard to the tables that would other wise be washed by the scrubbing of the floors of hyrule.. Also tghe damages would cost over 9000$ if you brought a swan opposed...
