Media on Trial: Is there a Liberal Bias?

bubbatheclown
stolethekimchi

First round is for acceptance, burden of proof is shared. In this debate, I will be arguing that most news organizations, with a few exceptions such as Fox News, have a liberal bias, opposed to neutrality in reporting. I will not be using MSNBC in my arguments, as they have admitted their bias. Fox New's conservative bias (and perhaps that of some other conservative sources) is not to be used to justify most of the Media's liberal bias, as Fox News is just one conservative news organizatio...

should sports be suspended from schools?

UsOSqUAd55
Hematite12

Sports should be included at school because when kids play sports and have school they work even harder just to stay playing that sport. Plus they say that the antidote to stress is physical activity. Plus it give kids a chance of a lifetime to get scouted or drafted. If you have ever heard of Ray Lewis look him up on Google and read his quote about leaving a legacy. Yeah sure parents or adults say that kids have their whole life to do something they love well why stop something kids really love...

Foreign labour brings more good than bad

Reversi_Black8007
said_it_all

I welcome the challenger first. Firstly i would like to establish my points. Firstly foreign workers help establish job opportunities. An immigrant will take a job within a 3-dimensional sector. Thus providing jobs for native born locals such as being promoted to supervisors. Since there are more workers to do the dirty jobs. Job opportunities can be opened. More workers (locals) are already losing their job to machines so what's there to lose. please present your arguement...

In defense of evil part 1: The Unabomber was justified in his actions.

Wylted
G131994

Definitions; Justified: to prove or show to be just, right, or reasonable http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/justify The word reasonable is highly subjective so for the purposes of this debate , I will be arguing that the Unabomber was just or right. When I say the Unabomber's actions I'm specifically referring to the ones that made headlines before his real name was known by the public. If you don't qualify to accept this tournament but can show you will be a worthy oppon...

Is Gay Marriage Healthy For Child Development and Morally Right?

Brasseur
peter_havers

Despite the increasingly tolerant attitude towards homosexuality in society, especially in the West, the treatment of homosexuals continues to differ from one country to another. In some nations, homosexuality is illegal whilst in others, homosexuals are now accorded an increasing catalogue of rights that have been enjoyed by heterosexuals all along. In the UK for instance, by virtue of a ruling of the European Court of Human Rights in Lustig-Prean and Beckett v UK (1999) gays can now serve in t...
