America is the Land of the Free

Skeptic111
Raisor

With so many people getting punished publicly for speaking their true feelings- speaking their minds- we have become a culture where people only use "code words"-- and we really don't say things plainly or literally anymore. Because if we do- openly- it will be called racist, sexist, homophobic, or ignorant. The truth is that people are very afraid of the Tyranny of the Politically Correct. And this has led to a kind of "personal censorship" where people only can speak on certain subjects, and i...

School Dress Codes are sexist and Add to Rape Culture

emmaw1482
funnycn

My group and I believe that School Dress Codes are targeting the female population and are unfair. School"s are beginning to focus on how the students dress rather than their education. For example, pulling a female out of class until she can change and taking her away from the education. Many cases have been reported of females being pulled out of class for minor infractions like straps being visible, or more than 3 inches of the thigh showing. Instead of letting the student know they're brea...

Morality is relative.

Christhulakhan
Mike_10-4

It is commonly argued by theists (and other like minded groups) that morality is an absolute; that there are natural laws that exist unconditionally. These are usually your run of the mill rules and laws: Don't Kill, Don't Murder, Don't Steal... And as where these are common, debatably universal, i argue that they are not absolute. Common morals are the product of social contracts- a compromise, if you will, to allow us humans to live together, and nothing more....

The Death Penalty for the guilty

Mopi
FantumHeist

Right, I'll be going against why there should be no death penalty for the guilty.1)Firstly, it goes agaisnt the very law of Right to protection of life, by awarding a person the death penalty, we ourselves are violating the law and a violation of law is not acceptable2) Its does not teach the guilty anything, if you look at it. The death penalty, the person just dies there is no learning and no going through pain and realizing the mistake they've made, wehreas...

Bchatman
Wylted

People who are on welfare and spend their money on un necessary things should not be allowed to be on welfare. I am agreeing with this, so someone has to prove why they should be allowed on welfare even when they spend their money on their wants instead of needs....
