Women have it easier overall in the U.S.

mrPrime
Swedishperspective

Aside from the debatable (and marginal) "income inequality", i stand by the claim that women in North America have a greater chance to succeed/prosper and live comfortably. Standard debate format for response: Greeting and/or Opening Rebuttal Rebuttal Closing General conceptions are fine but please cite any statistical data. You are welcome to bring up income inequality but please state explain how this hinders one from having a full and satisfactory lifestyle....

A Brutal Research Made On Fungi

Aerogant
9spaceking

I spent 1 hour of research to prove to you that I'm not fooling around, so here it goes. My more in-depth theory on what fungi is, along with very interesting things to consider which I put together based upon this research. The fungi exists in both water and land - there's more land species than water species. The mushroom is shaped like a jelly fish, so I cross-referenced the human fingers to that of a jelly fish's ability to use its "what seems like a finger" to electrocute, after also res...

Abortion

Cold-Mind
Tychas

Resolution: Women should be allowed by law to abort their fetus. BoP is shared. Con should make his arguments in Round 1. Voting rules: Forfeit in round 1, 2 or 3 means debate loss. Con using more than 300 characters in Round 4 means Con lost. Pro's arguments: 1) p1: Fetus is part of woman's body. p2: Everyone owns themselves. c): Fetus is in woman's property. 2) p1: Chances are woman who does not want child will be bad parent. p2.1: People raised by bad parents are (in average) worse...

Evolution is not a proven fact.

Dr_Obvious
LogicalLunatic

I see a lot of people, on this site, claiming that evolution is a scientific fact. I disagree. Con must provide scientific evidence that proves the theory of evolution. Evolution, for this debate, will be defined as descent with modification. To clarify, con must provide proof that life can add chromosomes to it's DNA, through mutations, thus evolving into another kind of life. Kind, for this debate, will be defined as felines, canines, birds...etc. For this debate, adaptation...

1 gapping should be federal law or at least a social norm.

Wylted
9spaceking

I hate people that don't one gap, and think it's absurd not to. No I won't define 1 gapping, and yes we'll be using my definition. It will be a fair definition and if you don't know what one gapping is you're probably one of those jerks that don't do it anyway, so I want to debate you....

"spending on poor" as primary cause of federal government spending problems is a misconcep

linate
Tychas

"spending on poor" as primary cause of federal government spending problems is a misconception -one random example, food stamps are like a percent or two of our budget. in the united states, as a federal matter, a standard adult is entitled to nothing except food. -the idea of a run away welfare nation is also a myth, given the feds only help with cash assistance if the state wants it to and still to a limited degree, and in a lot of states cash assistance might last for a few years tops an...

Does Socialism work in a realistic society?

softmer
The_Nameless

Would Socialism work in a realistic society? In my opinion the answer is no. I will be debating for the 'con' side, meaning that I believe socialism can not function properly as a government system. My opponent will be taking the 'pro' side, meaning they believe that socialism actually does work as a government system. First round is for acceptance. Good luck....
