First of all, I'm not saying I want to overthrow the government. I just read an article, and concluded that it is fact impossible to have a legit revolt in this country. Whether this is good or bad is beside the point. But I'll wait for a challenge to get more in depth.

I'm just going to make one argument here: nothing that is not logically contradictory is impossible. Maybe the percentage chance of it occurring is so low that it approaches zero, but it can never actually be zero. Thus a revolution must be possible if unlikely.

What your talking about is just semantics, which doesn't change my argument at all. I just didn't word it clearly. Please don't tell me that is your whole argument.
kvaughan

Yeah, that's my argument. Since you didn't really explain what you were advocating I assumed you were advocating the "topic of debate" -- seems reasonable to me.

Look, at best you can advocate that a revolution in the US in its current state is unlikely, but we have no way of knowing what the US will be like in the future. Maybe if things go down the toilet, people will revolt.

Ugh. Next time, don't take the topic so literally, bro. Now I have to repost the argument. And my argument has to be 100 characters long so I'm just going to type about nothing so I can fulfill the limit.

ugh, next time make your arguments clearer bro. I can only go off of what is written so that's what I used.

And anyways, I think it's quite unfair to use an impossibly vague opener like the one you used. You barely tell me what you think and give me no reason why. If you want better responses post better arguments.

Yes, the civil war was a revolt, but I'm talking about in today's society. Look for my new debate on the same subject. Much more thorough and professional.

Weak on both sides but kvaughan is right. Anything is possible. Was not the civil war a type of revolt?

Sorry, guys. I'm kinda new to this whole thing. I already posted a debate with the same title, if you want to check it out.

This is very similar to a debate I just had a few days ago. Please people, don't bother posting an arguement if your not already prepared to present it from stage one. The purpose of the debate should be stated in the title, not within a precious Round box. At least you tried kvaughan.

This is, howvere, an exteremly intersting arguement with much potential. I'd like to see it come up again in the future, this time though, more professionally.
