The destruction of Isis would easily be achieved by a nuclear bomb. They have a geographic boundary in their Islamic state. Nuke em. I'm sure many of their adherents would survive but we ve got to make a start.
General_Grievous

Con

What about the thousands of men women and children who detest radical Islam? Should they die because of the actions of just a few thousand? And what of the millions who would be harmed in the aftermath of the blast?
Debate Round No. 1

Pro

The survival of my family will always be more important. The states first job is to look after the interests of its citizens. If you don't understand that basic then you don't understand much.
General_Grievous

Con

I understand the social, economic and financial consequences of a WMD. Your solution is one of "I give up, punish the innocent and guilty alike". You are obviously ok and have a clean conscience with innocent blood being spilt, exactly like the Islamic radicals do.
Debate Round No. 2

Pro

No real idea about how we can destroy Isis apart from a nuclear zap. They've let us know where most of them are , so we should take the opportunity to get as many of them as we can. I don't have ain't moral crisis about it at all. Them or us.
General_Grievous

Con

The problem with the them or us attitude is that millions of innocent Muslims will perish for nothing but being Muslim. A solution to ISIS could include a military invaison and total occupation, drone strikes and starving ISIS out of resources, ceasing foreign aid to countries that are sympathetic to ISIS like Turkey and Pakistan, all the while working with English, Austrilian, Canadian and French forces to track down and kill all ISIS members. But dropping a WMD won't solve anything.

General , the military did not lose that war in viet nam, the poiticians did.We won every battle. When it became a political battle, that was our downfall.

Reasons for voting decision: As much as I think nuking Isis is a good idea, I disagree that we should do it because as con pointed out it puts innocents in the way.

Reasons for voting decision: S&G: " I don't have ain't moral crisis about it at all" Arguments: I, like most human beings with the ability to empathize, would lose a lot of sleep if we nuked ISIS, especially without trying alternative methods to rid ourselves of them.
