Cell phone companies are always stating which one is better than the other.

You have AT&T, they have rollover minutes, free voicemail, mobile to mobile calls, and you can also get 7pm to 7am for 8.99. That is a pretty good deal.

I have a AT&T phone and just love it with my features.

Verizon on the other hand is different. They have none of the above.

I recently bought me a enV with Verizon and I just cringe everytime I think of using those all so precious mintutes. Cingular on the other hand you do not have to worry about it and you can dip into all those rollovers.

Verizon, needs to open their eyes and quit trying to make a penny off of your ever so working hard customers, if you want to compete then get off your butts and wake up.

The topic of debate is "At&t vs Verizon Wireless." You clearly are in favor of AT&T, but your lack of clarity is what will lose you this debate. In your opening argument you failed to clearly define why AT&T is better - does it have better service, a better marketing plan, is the phone selection more vast? Your lack of a specific topic will cost you.

You had mentioned the features, such as "You have AT&T, they have rollover minutes, free voicemail, mobile to mobile calls, and you can also get 7pm to 7am for 8.99. That is a pretty good deal." Well in examining those features, let's compare with Verizon, while rollover minutes is one advantage to AT&T, mobile to mobile calling, and additional features at a cost is not. For Verizon free mobile to mobile calling, as well as additional features at a cost come standard. For your advantage, I will not go into Verizon's features like VCast Movies and VCast Music with Song Identification. No, I will grant this catagory a pardon and say the overall features are comparable.

However, where Verizon does excel is in it's networks design: the CDMA Network, which also utilizes the 3G Wireless Data transmission - has proven more effective than AT&T's lagging GSM infrastructure and their EDGE Wireless Data transmission network. If you don't believe me, take into account the latest JD Power and Associates AND Consumer Reports accounts which put Verizon's overall service and customer support only second to Alltel (for the past several years). AT&T ranks second to last (or fourth overall) among the premier national carriers, citing dropped calls, patchy service in major metropolitan areas, and poor customer service.

Should you want to argue from a personal experience stand point, Verizon Wireless gave me a 280 dollar phone free - now I call that pretty effective customer service. Furthermore, Verizon offered my employer a work discount, allowing me to save a substantial amount on my cell phone bill.

Finally, if you want to talk about the future, Verizon has already promised to open up their network next year [2008], allowing any mobile device compatible with their published standards to operate on "The Network." Also, based on multiple technical publications, include Gizmodo, Verizon is poised to win the US Government's C-Block in the upcoming 700 Megahertz Auction, allowing for far better reception as that spectrum makes it easier to to travel through walls and denser materials.

There is one winner here and it is Verizon, not AT&T.

I have AT&T and the connectivity with the phone is awful. Long live Verizon.

I like AT&T and Verizon mostly because I like knowing someone else is there listening to my phone conversation. I even think the companies should keep pressing for immunity in Congress that way the US people can't sue them bankrupt for privacy violations. I adore companies that violate my privacy in the name of terrorism. I also like that I can expose my friends to eaves dropping knowing that just one of us uses AT&T or Verizon.

I also love it when what almost seems like a member of the company pretends to be a casual consumer on a debate site and closes their account. This only further heightens their reputation.

Verizon donated money to La Raza. Therefore, I vote for AT&T. Any company that supports illegal aliens deserves no business.

Lookup Credo! http://www.credomobile.com...

They use Sprint as the carrier and don't let the Bush administration tap your phone.
