Abortion should be made illegal in the United States under all circumstances. Murder is currentlly illegal and abortion is nothing more than supervised and accompliced murder.

As a reply to myrandomness, If a ten year old got pregnant, even by rape, that means she has already started her period. If she is indeed having a period, then her body is capable of carrying a child. Only 6% of rape and incest cases result in an abortion. That means that 94% either keep their child, or give it away.

What about the children who are getting pregnant from rape? There are ten year olds out there getting pregnant from rape. At the age of ten your body isn't developed enough to have a baby. The pregnant child could die from this unborn baby. Furthermore, you say it is not the baby's fault, but what about the pregnant woman. Who says it is her fault? I believe it is a woman's choice.

The opening question related to "in the United States". Therein lies the answer. In the US, people are allowed to have their own belief-system as long as they don't go against the laws of our land. 'Murder' is defined as killing a person. Until science (or the government) defines an unborn child as a 'person' then it is up to the individual beliefs of the U.S.'s constituents to determine that for themselves. If they 'believe' that the unborn fetus is just a mass of cells with no souls, then they are simply exercising their right to excise the cells. That is what America stands for...allowing people to follow their own beliefs. It is immoral for others to force their view upon others when science (or the government)has not adequately determined if the unborn are indeed, 'persons'.

I personally think abortion is murder. Its the same as killing someone only this person inside of you has no choice they have a silent scream. I know some people have kids at a really young age or as a product of being abused. Its not the babies fault. If you know full well you will not be able to raise a child it would be better to put the child up for abortion rather than having him/her Killed.

I dont think it is exactly accurate to call abortion "murder". It requires a lot of effort to raise a child. If there was alot of population decline, I would see the justification in this. There are teenagers whose lives are made very difficult because they have children very early. Shouldn't they have the choice? When it is an organism inside of you, using your nutrients, attached to you, you have the right to remove it, as sad as it may sound to some.
