Even though abortion may seem like an impulse to many, when a women decides to get an abortion it is not done on impulse but rather it is her choice and protected by the constitution. In the dictionary a embryo is defined as the young from the moment of fertilization until its able to survive a separate organism. Like a parasite and shouldn't the mother have the choice to remove it if she so wishes.

Challenge accepted,

I take it that this will be a short, informal debate.

"when a women decides to get an abortion it is not done on impulse but rather it is her choice and protected by the constitution."

In nature, an abortion is impossible for a female. This is because genetically, there is no advantage in having less children, and your offspring to pass on your genes for being able to abort, would be in the minority and out competed. Therefore we can conclude that abortion is an aberration of normal function, and harmful to the survival of the female and her genetic line.

We can also conclude that, given the level of genetic competition between genes, anyone who is able to successfully convince another to abort will increase their own chances selfishly. These are all established scientific facts and to prove them wrong would be as difficult as it is to prove Darwin wrong.

"In the dictionary a embryo is defined as the young from the moment of fertilization until its able to survive a separate organism.
Well, dictionaries are hardly reliable. Even a medical dictionaries reliability depends on who wrote it. Of the CRAVEN criteria of credibility, they have problems with Vested interest, Expertise and Neutrality. A proper scientific dictionary might include the fact that a living cell is classed as alive as long as it responds to stimuli. Defining an embryo as the young only occurs in this narrow context, but really doesn't cover everything.

"Like a parasite and shouldn't the mother have the choice to remove it if she so wishes."
It should be obvious to any neutral observer that an embryo is NOT a parasite, but rather an investment, like baby milk teeth, which, likewise require resources and are later expelled, when you lose your first teeth.

A young child contains exactly 50% of the DNA of each parent. It is amusing to think that if you removed 50% of your body, that would classify as self harm, but that the two cases are similar.

Lastly; the orgasm and attraction between the sexes. In all cases that don't involve rape, natural sex will occur. This happens because your body finds the other persons body attractive and is fully prepared, at all times, to produce a child. If you are able to somehow have intercourse with as many people as you want without pregnancy then this is cheating the body out of the reason it invented the orgasm; to have children. This may not fit in with your mental plans of getting a job, waiting for the summer holidays or buying that new car, but those are conceits of the mind, and the mind is a small part of the body.
