A big topic. Abortion. Abortion takes a life away from a little baby that won't even have a chance to live like all of us. Here are ten facts that will explain quite a bit.
1.Since life begins at conception, abortion is akin to murder as it is the act of taking human life. Abortion is in direct defiance of the commonly accepted idea of the sanctity of human life
2.No civilized society permits one human to intentionally harm or take the life of another human without punishment, and abortion is no different.

3.Adoption is a viable alternative to abortion and accomplishes the same result. And with 1.5 million American families wanting to adopt a child, there is no such thing as an unwanted child.

4.An abortion can result in medical complications later in life; the risk of ectopic pregnancies doubles, and the chance of a miscarriage and pelvic inflammatory disease also increases.

5.In the instance of rape and incest, proper medical care can ensure that a woman will not get pregnant. Abortion punishes the unborn child who committed no crime; instead, it is the perpetrator who should be punished.

6.Abortion should not be used as another form of contraception.

7.For women who demand complete control of their body, control should include preventing the risk of unwanted pregnancy through the responsible use of contraception or, if that is not possible, through abstinence.

8.Many Americans who pay taxes are opposed to abortion, therefore it's morally wrong to use tax dollars to fund abortion.

9.Those who choose abortions are often minors or young women with insufficient life experience to understand fully what they are doing. Many have lifelong regrets afterwards.

10.Abortion frequently causes intense psychological pain and stress.

This round, I will solely use for the presentation of my arguments of my own case rather than as a rebuttal to my opponent's, and in case if any sources are missed through the explanation of my case, I will happily provide them in the coming rebuttal(s). Since there really is not a precise resolution in this scenario, what I will do is provide an argument proving the following things:

1. Abortion is justified.
2. Abortion is practical in society.

On the first overarching point, I explain the following:

Contention 1: Fetuses have no rights.
In the action of abortion, the woman is not taking away nor violating the rights of any human being, but rather an entity that will become a human being in the context of society. Because this entity is not a part of society as of yet considering their premature development, they have no rights, and henceforth, actions committed against them such as in the case of abortion are justified.

Sub-point 1a: Fetuses have no human rights.
If clearly looking in the context of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the original enumeration of the consistency of human rights, the first article clearly states that all humans are born free, rather than the idea that these human rights are included for those unborn.

Sub-point 1b: Fetuses are not part of social contract.
Their current entity does not grant them the inclusion in social contract considering that social contract is also only applicable to those people born into society.

Contention 2: It is the woman's body, and thus, her decision.
The woman has a right to her body and to dictate what goes on with it. It is inevitably the choice of the mother in order to decide whether she wants to have the baby or not.

On the second overarching point, the following contentions:

Contention 3: Abortion serves as population control.
Abortion serves as the control of a human population that is currently spinning out of control, destroying the environment as well as the quality of living for those beings currently born in the world and inside social contract. The overpopulation of the planet would be a disastrous thing...

Contention 4: Abortions provide safe abortions rather than unsafe ones.
Regardless of the problems of abortions in the world, they are much safer than the abortions than the ones obtained illegally. Bans on abortions have increased the amount of illegal abortions in the past.
