"Ive noticed that everyone who is for abortion," said Ronald Reagan, "has already been born." The people for abortion are supporting a mother who wants to kill the child inside her. Abortion is when a doctor takes a baby out of the uterus to effectively kill it. This is really weird because the law recognizes a child in the uterus as a legal person under certain circumstances. The damage of having an abortion can be life threatening to the mother and the after effects are challenging. Abortion should, certainly, be changed to an act with limitations.

"We're always going to argue about abortion. It's a hard choice and it's controversial, and that's why I'm pro-choice, because I want people to make their own choices."- Hillary Clinton. I respectfully disagree because the government shouldn't EVER have control over a women's decisions. For way too many years, women have been a minority with way too many limitations. As it states in the Constitution women have freedom of choice; which has nothing to do with supporting the death of a child. It has everything to do with supporting the decisions that women make. So for "abortion ... to be changed to an act with limitations," you'd have to also change the freedom of choice because it's the women's choice, freedom of choice, to decide. The Constitution does not recognize the "child in the uterus as a legal person." The fetus is considered to be part of the woman's body because it is not born yet and it cannot live outside the womb. Therefore, a women should be able to make a decision based upon what SHE wants to do with HER body.

During an abortion many things can happen that can cause great pain. The mother runs the risk of a cut or torn cervix. This can lead to future miscarriages or still births, if not treated properly, or before the hole gets bigger. In some cases a hysterectomy (removing of the uterus) may be performed if the mother is injured greatly during the procedure. If the doctor does not remove the whole baby and its contents, the mother would need another surgery to remove those contents. This would also increase the chance of a fatal outcome.

The effects on women's bodies and mind after the abortion are complex and can cause different kinds of pain. Depression, insomnia, anxiety, and anger are common after an abortion. Lots of women feel guilty that they basically murdered their child. Women who were pressured into the abortion would feel angry toward the people who pressured her. The depression can also lead them to attempt suicide. The abortion can also cause a pelvic inflammatory disease which causes irreversible damage to a woman's reproductive system. This damage prevents any future pregnancies, lowering a woman's confidence in herself. Granted, not all abortions succeed to kill the child. In fact, 1,270 children are born after an abortion every year, and those were luckily give up for adoption. Although the doctor isn't supposed to kill babies that survive the abortion, they usually kill them, by strangling, drowning, or suffocation. As you can see the effect of an abortion is great on the mind and body.
With all the implications that come with abortion it's surprising that it is legal. Because if a baby in the uterus is killed by an act of violence, the murderer can be charged with homicide. This is very weird, because if a woman aborts a baby then is it not considered an act of violence, yet, it ends up killing the baby. Now a scenario like this happened when Dynel Lane tried to fake a pregnancy, she needed a baby so she put in an add for baby clothes on Craigslist. A pregnant woman named Michelle Wilkins responded and went to Lane's home, where she was attacked. Wilkins survived the attack, but the baby did not due to the fact that Lane had cut the womb to kill the baby. Lane, later, put the body of the child into the tub claiming that she had a miscarriage. After, Lane was tried and found guilty of homicide, because the baby could of survived outside of the womb. Yet, all babies have the chance to live outside the womb, but those for abortion take away that chance. In fact, Julie Roys who survived an abortion said, "If abortions are women's rights what were mine?" This shows how people aren't thinking about the baby, just what they think is better because a pregnancy was unplanned. All of this shows how much people contradict themselves when the mother does or doesn't want the baby.
